The game ended, and UConn won. I was really impressed by their teamwork, but I was even more impressed by Paige. She really stepped up during the last quarter. Throughout the game, my eyes were constantly following her every move, the determination on her face was visible. I always caught her stealing glances in my direction, and it awakened something inside me that shouldn't have. But there was something in her ocean eyes that made me want to keep her looking at me.

"Whimsy, let's wait for them in the conference room," June suggested. The UConn team was still busy celebrating their victory, doing interviews for the media, taking group photos, and entertaining their fans.

"Alright," I stood up and gathered my things. June led the way to the conference room, which was already set up for the interview. "Wait here, I'll be back. I just need to do my job." I nodded and watched June leave.

While I waited, I took out my iPad and prepared the questions I was going to ask later. I also wrote some notes for my report from watching the game. A few minutes passed before the glass door of the conference room suddenly opened, and I heard laughter and voices. They were finally here.

"Hey there, girly pop!" Kk exclaimed when she saw me. I smiled and hugged her in a friendly way. Nika, Ice, and Azzi also introduced themselves and warmly welcomed me. Geno greeted me with a handshake.

"Is everyone here now? We can start the interview," Geno stated.

"Not yet, P boogers isn't here yet," Kk replied. Just as Kk said that, the door opened.

"I'm here now, sorry I took too long to sign autographs," Paige said, panting. She was out of breath. Did she run all the way here?

"Paige, why are you out of breath? Excited to see someone, huh?" Kk teased her. Paige shot her an annoyed look. "Shut it, Kk."

"Alright, alright. Let's stop wasting Whimsy's time, let's start the interview" Geno said and signaled me to start.

I cleared my throat and looked at the team in front of me " Everyone, congratulations on the win. You guys are amazing and you gave the audience, especially the fans, an incredible show."

They all smiled and thanked me. I continued with the interview, asking general questions, nodding and listening to them while taking notes. A lot of Paige's answers were well thought out; the way she answered every question was very confident.

"Last question, what are your goals or plans after winning this game?" I asked.

Nika answered first. "Savor our last moments before I get drafted to the WNBA."
