"For the law, you are officially dead as of yesterday" Jin bites his lips incessantly, half sitting on the medical stretcher. Next to him, the machine measuring his pulse and the respirator. Namjoon reads a couple of documents in his hand. "Your body hasn't been found, but from the blood, you should be dead. Plus your mother doesn't want there to be the slightest question about you." He drops the papers and sets them aside. Jin sniffles. "Very sad about the news?"
"I wanted to... go to college."
"Awww" Namjoon grabs him by the face, shushing him. Jin sobs, disappointed. "Don't be distressed about anything. Maybe that plan can't be carried out anymore, but I have good news for you" he shakes him gently, barely a movement from right to left. "From the moment you get better, you can work with me" Jin looks at him impressed. "After all, you're going to stay here with me... you want to, don't you?"
Jin nods and Namjoon gives him a kiss on his forehead, rubbing his cheeks with his fingers, affectionately.
It took him two whole weeks to get better and as soon as he did, Namjoon showed him his room. getting his belongings was not difficult: Seokjin and his mother threw them away, it was enough to go through the trash in that big mansion for only two people. That includes the most valuable belonging for Jin: the book that Namjoon gave him the first time they met in the adult's apartment.
With that, he can rest easy. He also has his notebooks with ideas, information, studies, scientific articles. Everything he might need. The only thing he threw away on his own were the family photos. He is not interested in remembering. Resentful of the whole event. Even resenting it.
That same night Namjoon went to mess with him, finding Jin with the only photo he has with Seokjin alone, both smiling. "Seokjin and I like fishing very much. Also dogs... That day we fished a lot and in the harbor, there was a dog that kept looking for us to play with him. I think that's the only time I remember him being my brother."
"Would you have liked it to have stayed that way?"
Jin nods. He would have loved to have had a normal life. Maybe not an exaggeratedly good relationship with his brother, but one that at least respected his name. He suffers an unpleasant shiver, with the memory of his face and everything he did to leave him dead.
He's not even able to remember how he didn't pass away where he dumped him, half naked and like he was a trash bag. Literally a piece of shit. He puts the photo aside and was about to say something to Namjoon, concerning the job he is going to perform from now on.
Interrupted by the kiss on the mouth from Namjoon. He grabs his face, trembling and uneasy. It's no different than usual, it just... disgusts him.
It hurts him unconsciously.
He clenches his legs and makes a gesture to move away. Namjoon holds him."Don't be so shy. I fixed you to perfection. There's nothing about you that hurts."
It's not about it hurting.
It's... strange.
Jin doesn't know what to think.
He doesn't know what he feels.
As if his body is burning, bulging, throbbing, trembling....
"Focus here" Namjoon orders, licking his lower lip. "Who are you looking at?"
"Namjoon."
He sees Seokjin.
He can't take his eyes off him.
He hates him.
He hates him so much.
Trembling lips and watery eyes give away the lie. Namjoon covers his eyes, whispering, "I hope you don't keep thinking about another man being here... only I must be in your mind, otherwise I'll have to kill you."
