"Grandma, I don't like my hair."

"Why not?"

"I just don't like it long, but mom said I can't cut it because I'd look like a boy" Sujin looks up at the lady. "Can I cut my hair grandma? I just don't like it long."

"You said you didn't like your dresses either."

"I just don't like them!"

"Sujin..."

"Just Jin."

The lady gives a sigh, shaking her head softly and strokes Jin's hair affectionately. He pouts, hugging her again. She wants to keep his hair short, he doesn't want to wear the dresses his mom chooses and he doesn't want to be called Sujin either.

It doesn't feel right.

It feels... Wrong!

Jin is fine.

Just Jin.

Being a 'he'

"It's ok. it will be our little secret" Jin pulls away quickly having a huge smile on his face, his eyes shining with illusion and holding back the exclamation, "but you must promise me that you will like yourself very much, my pretty Jin." She kisses him on the forehead and the infant hugs her with all his strength.

"Yes! I'm going to like my hair very much! And me too! Because I'm very pretty!"

"The prettiest of all."

Jin was happy about the haircut: it's the same as his grandmother. It looks fluffy thanks to his curls. It also looks cute when he puts little lashes in it and she feels so happy! Because from that moment on, his grandmother calls him Jin. She is the only person who calls him Jin.

Because she wants him to smile.

She says Jin is her pretty granddaughter...

That his bright and pretty granddaughter...

That was really her pretty grandson.

"What are you thinking to have such a ridiculous smile?" murmurs Namjoon lowering the mouth cover, holding Jin's skull open and removing some parts of his brain, the ones that were burned by a tiny problem called: Jimin wanting to disturb during the operation, "it must be very pretty." he concludes tilting his head.

Jin's face is contorted into a smile, babbling things. His eyes dilated, one more open than the other and a long scar. He gives a chuckle, tapping his forehead a couple of times.

"Let's hope you don't forget anything."

"He's having a nice dream. There's a lot of wakes around." comments Jimin, looking at Jin, the cat sitting on the other side of the operating table.

"Make sure it stays that way without ruining anything." Jimin nods pouting and leaning back against Jin's chest. He listens to his heart very well and from here, he can still see Jin's pink trails.

Namjoon puts his mouth cover back on to continue, checking every now and then that the digitalization of Jin's memories is still in process. That's the only reason why it took him so long to do this procedure: he needed to make sure he doesn't forget anything. Even his bad moments. It is what put him here. Jin must keep everything.

It's as much for Jin as it is for himself.

"YOU'RE A GIRL! A! GIRL!"

"I'M NOT A GIRL."

The shouting argument is witnessed by the housekeeping. Nothing that has not been heard since the moment Miss "Sujin" demanded to be called "Jin", she cut her hair and has worn almost none of the clothes her mother. Jin takes off Seokjin's clothes and because of that, there is so much trouble.
