Reborn a Surgeon

Adelaide had done very little with her life she wished that she could do more just unfortunately when you're diagnosed with the disease that slowly eats away at your muscles, you realize that there isn't much that you can do with yourself if you always wanted to be a doctor a nurse at the very least so she spent most of her time watching TV shows reading books and playing games her favourite shows were the doctor ones surprisingly enough or based around hospitals she hated to being a patient but she loved watching the doctors work.

One of her absolute favourite shows was Grey's Anatomy she loved mcdreamy, he was just such a great character and his constant persistence of Meredith made him quite endearing to her but she had to admit that she was a little jealous because she actually really liked Derek Shepherd but then she also liked Mark Sloan, she also like Jackson Avery and Owen Hunt, she did have a bit of a soft spot for Preston Blake as well and then there was also the surgeon orientated Cristina, then the fun loving George, Cali was just a ball of laughs she never could get along with Izzy she found the character too irritating.

She really did love Meredith though, she really likes Lexi as well, Maggie was also quite good and to find out they were sisters made even more funny if not a little sad.

She noticed over the last few months that she was deteriorating very quickly. She knew she wouldn't last long she had very little friends due to her condition not really seeing anyone so she left any money that she did have after her funeral expenses to the local hospitals, her family didn't really come to see her very much but she was okay with that, she drifted from them over the years and she felt that this was the best way that way they could just move on but she did pray for the very first and only time in her life that maybe she would get another chance at life to be able to do more than what she could in this one or she could do in this one was research, learn, study everything that a doctor would learn but that's all she could do she couldn't move enough to be able to put all that learning into practice so as she make sure they knew her wishes to have a DNR and closed her eyes then just let fate take its course.

After a little while with nothing happening she went to open her eyes again and realized that it was dark if she couldn't see but the most peculiar thing is that she could move what she believed her arms and her legs were all moving she wanted to shout then scream for joy but then realized that she was in somewhere warm, that everything was very slow but also it felt like liquid. After an embarrassingly long amount of time she realized that she was in a womb she moved her arms, moved to legs.
Not a little while longer she started to see but everything was very fuzzy she could see light outside but also shadows moving across, then she started waving her own hands in front of her and practicing her movements to try and get some proper dexterity into her fingers, legs and toes.

As the space started to get tighter she realized that she was properly getting bigger, that it wouldn't be too long until she was born she really hoped that she had a loving mother and father but she wasn't holding out any hope she at least wanted someone that would support any ambition that she had in probably becoming a doctor maybe if she had really good parents a surgeon but she would see.

After one particularly annoying day being unable to move due to being cramped in in the space she was in she saw a light start to come through and she knew that this was the moment that she would be born so without further ado if you decided to keep going forward and she was greeted with a sudden cold rush of air which let out a startled cry.

Once they've cleaned her down and wrapped her in a warm blanket they walked over and gave her to her new mother she thought that the woman looked very familiar but she was unsure where from as the woman looked at her she gave a small smile but she seemed like one of those woman they didn't really show reaction or didn't know how to, then a gentleman came over, a very handsome and looked at my new mother.

"Look at our daughter Ellis."

"I know Arthur, she is beautiful and I will raise her along with Meredith but you know as well as I do that surgery always comes first you're welcome to be in her life but you cannot take care from me."

" I know Ellis and I'll make sure to set up a special trust fund for her to never be wanting and I'll set up a separate fund for her tuition for any university that she wishes to attend"

"Does your wife know?"

"Yes Ellis, you know the agreement we have."

"We did not expect the baby."

" I know Ellis, but I can provide for our baby but I cannot be a part of her life that was the agreement that was made if this happened but know that I do love her."

"Just leave Arthur."

"As you wish, what is her name?"

"Adelaide Rose Grey"

He looked at me with a small smile before kissing me on head and leaving the room then I look at my new mother with a smile before another knock comes to the door and I see a tall man wih lovely chocolate skin and warm brown eyes comes in with a little girl who looks to be about six years old.

"Come meet your sister Meredith"

My new mother says and I knew I was in Grey's Anatomy universe and I can't help but feel excited.
The little girl comes to look at me with a small smile which I return it, she brushed her hand against my head and I cooed at her then I was passed to the man that entered and knew that this was Doctor Richard Webber.

"She is beautiful, Ellis."

"She is, I will be back in a few months to start on the transplant case that Patricia was talking about."

"I will let her know."

Adelaide slowly started falling asleep planning her future knowing that being a doctor was going to be considered a must but being a surgeon is going to be a whole new ball game, she had to study and study hard to be one of the best. If by the looks of it she was quite a bit younger than her sister Meredith so she would have to graduate college and university before her sister just as she could be at the same hospital at the same time it was going to be a challenge she was looking forward to it.
