The Enchanting Wolf

Lucy looked at the city from her location for her target. The city streets were a lot more deserted than usual, but the weather threatened to turn at any moment with a light rain being a constant.
She was thankful to have her waterproof hood covering her head with it helping to keep her view clear along with her two swords on her back and her gun with her knives hidden on her.
Sometimes Lucy wondered how her life became this way but she knew that being an orphan left her very few choices in this world so becoming an assassin and mercenary was the only real option to make any good money for her it was either that or becoming a prostitute which you'd rather not become.
She walks along the edge of the roof top looking down wondering what she was going to do later tonight after she completed her mission she had more money than she know what to do with but in her line of work it was dangerous to pursue anything that wasn't one night she could not risk it and even if she went to retire she still could not rescue it.
She had been trained since she was 5 years old she knew how to seduce men and women alike she knew how to play the game she could get into any party or any location because you have been trained for it having an edentic memory helped with everything.

She walked along spotting her target with an almost feral Grace she haunted him like the pray that he was with a small smile on her face knowing that she'll be able to complete her mission in good time.
She jumped down when she reached the end of the ledge, landing on different things as she went down to slow her desent before landing gracefully on the floor in her super hero pose as her handler called it making her chuckle quietly.
She followed her target, who looked very skittish but had not seemed to notice her.
She could not approach him because he would know something was wrong it's not every day that a beautiful woman dressed in black suddenly comes out of nowhere and starts talking to you and especially when you're frightened for your own life so she stalked him slowly but not completely invisible.
Lucy followed and down to a alley and so that he approached the dawn near the end she knew this would be the best time to get him so quickly and quietly as possible she came up behind him and from one side to the other slit his throat right down to the Bone then she saw the briefcase that she also needed to get so she cut the chain from his rest to the briefcase looked at him with a sad smile and then walked away with it.
She took her time and made it back to the Rendezvous point once she approached she saw the guard who she nodded to and then gotten the left and went upstairs once she was at the top floor she walked out and then walked to the room that was assigned for the meet-up once she approached the room she saw Ivan drovoski he was the current head of the Bravastar.
A very dangerous crime syndicate but she took no sides and didn't really care either way handed him the Briefcase and then you finish transferring the money over but just as she was about to leave he cleared his throat she turned round and he asked if she'd looked into the Briefcase and she said no that was not the job assigned all he did was nod and then suddenly I know where she heard a gunshot ring out and saw that his second in command had shot her in the chest and she looked at Ivan who had a very sickening smile on his face.

"I can't have anyone know I have this briefcase. If they paid, you know you could confirm that you worked the job.
I have paid you handlers for your life."

Then multiple shots rang out and she looked up she pressed the button on her necklace sending out all the information of the job as it was always a contingency in case something like this did happen that you quickly grabbed her gun and shot Ivan in the chest as well before she smiled then pressed her timer before collapsing to the floor.
What she had realised is that the case contained the only information for a new chemical weapon but he detonator destroyed not only the Briefcase and everything inside it but also took out the rest of Ivan's men thus saving the world from a new World War.

Lucy felt herself floating and avoid of nothing but it was warm and cold at the same time she didn't even know that was possible but she just kept floating just embracing the darkness thankful that her life was over but she didn't have to keep doing these horrible things for money just to survive in such a cruel world but she also found that she did not mind it so much after a few years so she also missed it some extent she just wish that she had more of a familiar connection a family even a best friend would have done it.
She floated for a little while before she felt a tug at her naval then she felt like she was falling till it suddenly stopped, she had the urge to open her eyes and when she did, she saw she was in a forest.
She slowly got up looking at her surroundings, she saw she was surrounded by trees with white bark and red leaves, she walked slowly through the woods, she started to hear whispers but what was strange to her was that they seem to be coming from all around her.
She finally came to a meadow with many wildflowers, she saw a larger version of the trees she was walking through but this one had a face, this for some reason range a bell to her but she was unsure why, the whispers got loader but she stopped when she sensed someone or something, then she saw a cloaked figure coming around the large tree that stopped next to it.
Lucy walled forward and saw a body of water at the foot of the tree but stopped in front of it.

"Lucy"

She heard whispered but made to move to turn around or search the meadow. She knew it was coming from these beings in front of her.

"Yes."

"We would like your help?"

".........my help?......"

Lucy was unsure why they would want her help. From what she could see, this was a deity.

"Your life has ended in your old world, and we would like you to change another."

"What do you need to change?"

"The outcome of a war, the old gods and I want you to bring new life to the house you will be born too."

"........"

"And stop the long night."

Lucy frowned a little knowing that was familiar when it clicked the game of thrones by George R Martin and started cussing a little knowing thry were watching her but she sighed because she knew that she did not have the power to fight deities.

"Will I......get....love and a family?"

She asked reluctantly. She knew she could do this better without attachment  but she wanted a family. She could feel the calmness coming from around her.

"You will."

She heard whispers but nodded in answer.

"Alright."

She suddenly found herself falling again before landing wih a thud and screamed out in shock, she looked around and could not see much as it was all blury but she was bring carried when she noticed that someone was looking at her before passing her to someone else,she looked and when her vision cleared slightly she saw a woman with brown curly hair and grey eyes looking at her with love.
She noticed she was small and realised she was a baby when she heard the door open.

"Lyarra, are you well?"

"Yes, my love, come meet your son and daughter."

"Twins."

Lucy looked at the man and saw he looked similar to her mother but before she could think they looked at them again, he took Lucy in his arms and looked at her with so much love that it caught Lucy off guard for a moment.

"What shall we name them, Rickard?"

"Eddard for our son and our little girl...............Lyra."

He said with a smile and then looked at Lucy with a smile.

"Welcome to the world, Lyra Stark."

He said , " Lucy....no Lyra could not help but think....
