Macy Johnson has lived a good life. At the age of eighty-four, she had three children and had ten grandchildren.
Macy was born in 1939 in London, England, and raised during the Blitz. She remembered the loud sounds of the sirens going.
She was always an exceptionally bright child but had to keep ot to herself as a woman was made for the home and not for work, according to her mother. Not that it stopped, Macy. Mind you, she went to a university in Edinburgh and took a degree in engineering.
She wanted to make things better and better.
But after finishing her degree, she found work difficult because no one wanted to hire a woman for a man's job.
She worked in garages to keep herself busy and work on new projects. During this time, she met her husband, John Wilson.
He was a frank man but heartwarming and supported her dreams to do more. Her wonderful husband gave her three wonderful children, and she was thankful for him.
I biggest break came with the space race, she helped design and make a workable prototype space rock to take people to the moon.
She also set the designs for the international space station. This opened doors for bigger projects and was thankful to this. She had a twenty year career and a nice nest egg.
She wanted to travel more now she was older and her children grown but John loved the comforts of home, so she stayed. When her husband died, she travelled more and met more people than she ever had.
When she was eighty-three, macy was diagnosed with breast cancer and insisted to the doctor that she did not want treatment. She felt that she had lived long enough and wanted her next adventure.
She laughed at that. It was a line from her grand daughters favourite, serious, Harry Potter.
She was not a fan of the books, and the film was so so for herself that she could relate to Snape and a few other death eaters.
She disliked Sirus Black and Remus Lupin as she found them weak and easily manipulated by Albus Dumbledore....oh, how Macy hated him.
Her granddaughter always said that she felt Macy was a Slytherin or Ravenclaw because she had great cunning & and ambition but also her love for knowledge & and growth.Over the course of the year, Macy set her affairs in order while battling the pain of the cancer, but she hid it from her family.
Then, on 5th May of her eighty-four year of life, she closed her eyes to sleep and never woke up.
Her son was worried as he had not heard from her but the police were already there with a coroner and what looked to be some type of report or letter and informed him thst his mither had passed.
The family morning for this amazing woman but knew she would want them to live a full life, and that is what they did.
*The In-between*
It was dark, i knew that much but I was unable to see, hear or move but it was warm and I let myself float there a while before I let myself succumb to it, I thought about wanting more, wanting to be more and fought the comfort to leave.
When it wouldn't work, I tried to see if I could feel anything around me, I felt this force. I was unsure what it was, but it seemed to pass through me and around me.
I remember my daughter encouraging me to meditate, and so I took i advice and did just that.
This force started rushing to me, I was unsure why, but it was not hurting me. If anything, it was making me stronger.
I stayed like this for a while till I was suddenly surrounded by light and landed on what looked like to be a field.
There were trees in the distance with a low fog and a pond the opposite way.It was beautiful, if a little scary.
Someone or something must have brought me here, so I will wait.
I sat down now. I could move and started to meditate again, and that force was stronger here and came to me faster.
It surrounded me and fused itself within my spirit, I felt nothing but joy at it. After a little while, I heard a throat clear.
