When we loss someone to death it never stops hurting, 6 years after her father died and the Reality of life has began to hit her hard, when the properties was shared they had a healthy amount of money, 4properties and 3cars her step mother and her children got the properties the most, but all that doesn't matter to Fauziya,
Her mum has always been a big spender and even after their dad's dead there was no investment, just spending and spending, she was barely a teenager so she didn't understand most of the things but as she grow up, now she is getting a better picture of things, barely a year after her dad's dead her mum moved her to a public school, it was a horrible experience, her elder sister Rashidah that was Abroad also struggle to pay her tuition fees for her final year by herself because their mum refused to send her money, even Abeedah and Nusaiba were removed from the expensive school and later round up schooling at home, it isn't better with her Step mothers children it was even worst because turn out the two of the triplet sent to the private university got withdrawn a long time ago all they do was collect money and lying to their father, it was such a horrible year, they all still live in their family house,
Their step mother Re married barely 2years after their father's dead, so she moved out but her side is occupied by the eldest son who married a year ago,
Fauziya's mum has squander their inheritance traveling with her rich friends and maintaining same lifestyle despite not having a source of income now that everything has finish the reality has started to hit the woman and all she does is vent her frustration on her children.
"Nusaiba You should agree to this man because at least you will soon finish your diploma,
You know how I struggle to pay for this your school, I don't have money to sponsor you to acquire a Degree."she ranted neither Fauziya nor Nusaiba said a word, by now the children knows the only way to please their mum is by money,
Rashidah graduated with a very good result and now works in a hospital as a pharmacist, her salary isn't much and she get to slash it into two and give it to their mum and the woman expect her to still buy food stocks,
Abeedah is engaged and her wedding is in 2 weeks she is the only person who luck seems to be on her side, she's going as a 3rd wife to a senator,
Even though Abeedah doesn't want she knows it's the only way out because their mum was on her neck the fact that she's the one taking responsibility for herself do not help, their mum only paid the first tuition fees and when abeedah came demanding for money she was open to her that there isn't money and if she can't find money to continue her studies she ahould come stay at home how Abeedah sustain in school nobody knows but she show up one day with this man that wants to marry her, of course their mum was elated especially after he says he would do everything so their mum knows he's rid her responsibility,
Rashidah is seeing a guy she met in the UK the relationship has been going on since she got back 5years ago yet settling down seems impossible their mum don't pressure her much because Rashidah pay the bills and the boy is from a wealthy background so their mum is still hopeful it works out for Rashidah,
At the moment to Hajiya Maryama, fauziya is the main problem in her life because she can't keep her at home without taking her to school, Fauziya has always been a bright girl, her WAEC result was good and her mum couldn't pay for her to write JAMB last year, she had to lie to people that she wants Fauziya to go school abroad that's why and someone is working the admission process for her over there, such a big lie but Hajiya Maryama always wants to be the center of attention as it is now, they have nothing, their mum has long sold their properties, the cars there's only one remaining that's already in market for sell, Fauziya watch her life goes from happy to sad, from been love by her family to jilted her topic irritates her mum because she knows Fauziya is always about education and spending morning.
