(Fauziya's Struggles)CHAPTER FOURTEEN
Being able to go places and go out every day is also a helpful gesture to a better tomorrow, Fauziya has been seriously sick for the last couple of weeks, what started as a mere fever gradually morphed into a serious illness that has her lying for good two days,
She sold her phone 5 days ago when the illness started she was desperately in need of money and she needed to buy medication even though the phone is what gives her hope that perhaps among the places she's gone for a job interview, they would call her."Mummy."Her daughter calls as Fauziya stares at her she barely can do anything, today seems worse even sitting upright and making something for her daughter to eat seems impossible.
"Amal." fauziya calls tiredly, the only functional part of her body is her mouth even though each word hurts at least she could guide her daughter to go find some help.
"Go call your grandmother, tell her I'm seriously sick," Fauziya says hopefully that would make her mother come to see her.
Amal now in her two years the girl can communicate even though it takes effort before one understands what she says.Fauziya stares at the little girl who runs out of the bedroom, she tries to lift herself up but unsuccessfully falls and she cringes at the hurtful impact.
Not long after Amal leaves the girl comes back."There is nobody," she says and Fauziya sighs, her body aches, and even her vision at the moment is just manageable.
"Are you hungry?" she asks the little girl who nods.
Fauziya doesn't know what to do at this moment, she stares at Amal and releases a heavy breath."Amal,
I want you to go outside and anybody you see call him to come."Fauziya says and Amal nods even though the little girl has very little knowledge of what her mum is asking her to do but she understands the statement.Once Amal leaves Fauziya tries to sit upright but she can't her body seems heavy to her, and she finds herself crying and praying, she doesn't want to die,
By Allah not because she is afraid of death, if it was only she in this world without Amal then she wouldn't mind death coming her way at the moment but there's Amal, if she dies today who will take care of her daughter?
Her mum can do that but just like she's going through hell at the moment that is how her daughter's fate would be.After long 35 minutes or more Fauziya heard voices in the house approaching her bedroom, the door was pushed open and it was the elderly lady who owned the kiosk in the Area with Amal.
"Fauziya?" the woman calls surprised as she enters the bedroom.
"What happens?" she asks flapping the curtains open.
I saw Amal going up and down I was surprised and curious, and I asked her what happened.
I didn't understand a thing she was saying so I followed her,
Subhanallah?
You are burning up." the elderly woman ranted as Fauziya felt her eyes shutting, the voice getting distant until everything went black for her.FAUZIYA's POV
I wake up to pain, my body feels like it's under a lot of pressure, and as my vision tries to adjust to my surroundings I can hear the familiar voices around me.
"How do you feel now fauziya?" the elderly lady whose name is Tani asks.
"Fine," I mutter and I see her daughter-in-law who everyone addresses as Aunty Husnah holding Amal.
