CHAPTER SIX
First Eid in her husband house yet it was a horrible experience, The Eid was chaotic fauziya has little knowledge of what transpired between Anas and his mum but the woman vented the frustration on her,
Raining insults on her that got fauziya crying and when Anas came back from mosque even though she told him nothing he perhaps confronted his mum because the woman left the next day after Eid,
Fauziya didn't go to see her family on Eid day but she did sent her mum some Eid food with 3 packs of drinks that Anas got, she also called all her siblings and wishe them happy Eid but her mum didn't picked her calls so fauziya sent her a text message.
Laying on the bed fauziya releases a heavy breath the semester result was out and she did great, Anas even bought her a gift to encourage her, she's currently doing her Assignment her husband left that morning for another job interview in town, she is always praying that God should show his mercy on Anas and give him a job, Anas step siblings has gone back to school he spend a lot on their provision she has manage to ask him where he got money and he told her he sold his house that he was building.
The knock on the apartment door makes her drop the pen and saunter out of the bedroom, her pregnancy doesn't give her much stress and she is yet to tell her family she's is pregnant.
"I'm coming."fauziya says unlocking the door, her elder sister Zakiya with her mum where the ones.
"Mummy good morning."she greets with a smile but by mare facial expression she knows none of them
Are in the most good mood.
Once they enter inside fauziya head for the kitchen and got them some water with two Coca Cola drink.
"We are not here for your food."her mum is the first to speak.
"So fauziya I didn't reach for you to come greet for Eid?
Eid of all time that everyone try to please their parents but you didn't even show up?
Because you are married now, husband house is sweet to you, you've forgotten your family,
This same Anas that you hated now things are good for you and you decide the people who are your enemies are we your family,
No problem,
It is life but I want to remind you that Allah swt himself have said it
Do good to your parents and to mothers,
But fauziya you didn't see anyone to humiliate today in this world but means your siblings,
We are your enemies because we want little from what you have,
You have stop your husband from doing good to us and you disassociate yourself with us because things are good for you,
But no problem it is world, and what goes around, comes around,
I didn't want to come to your house fauziya but Zakiya was the one who pressure me to so I will use this as an opportunity to tell you that,
You are own your own fauziya and if we think we call you or associate with you because of the little money your husband have then you are wrong,
Wlh you are wrong fauziya because if it's money what kind of money I haven't seen when your dad was alive?
The money I Maryam have seen in my life your husband hasn't seen it yet let alone you,
That you are already humiliating us."Hajiya Maryam ranted as fauziya just listen her heartache aching with every word that leave her mum's mouth.
"Rashidah's wedding is next week if you like come if you like don't,
Contribution money you refused to bring even the asoebi you didn't buy you have not for once even call to ask how is the preparation going,
All that isn't your concern,
Anyway mummy has said it all and if it's men let me tell you fauziya they disappoint and if they don't disappoint there's death, you can never replace family and no matter how bad it is family will always be family but since you have decide to outcast yourself we have leave you."Zakiya says and her mum pick up from where she stops, the my went on and on for good 45 minutes before they leave the house fauziya once happy mood spoiled she found herself missing her father as she sob tiredly all afternoon.
