Listening to Bhai saheb, I tried to control myself and assured him with a fake smile.

"Don't worry Bhai saheb. You don't have to blame yourself. It's destiny that can't be changed. Moreover, it's my wedding. I am happy and want you to be happy too."

"You don't have to do it Nayan. I will try somehow to stop this wedding. I can't let you sacrifice everything."
He said and it seemed how worried he was.

"Bhai saheb, please don't worry yourself. I am really very happy. And I will not let my dreams shatter this easily."

I somehow assured him that I was happy. I knew the fact that my father would never listen to him instead he would punish him. And I can't let that happen.

The only option left was to marry the king and leave the kingdom so that my family could live happily.

After he left, I broke into cries and didn't let anyone enter my chamber that whole day. I even denied dinner and didn't know when I drifted into sleep.

The next two weeks were spent in the preparation of my wedding arrangements. There was a chaos of celebration spread in each corner of the kingdom. Everyone was excited except me. I never wished for a marriage.

I left everything on my Mahadev. The one whom I trust with my life, whose devotion was the only thing left with me.

Tomorrow a hawan will be kept to begin the rituals of my wedding. Only two weeks more were left with me in my home. Just then my attendee, Madhu entered the chamber.

"Princess, ranima asked me to inform you that Queen Adarshini and Princess Chandralekha are arriving by this evening for your wedding functions."

And my happiness was boundless listening to her. Queen Adarshini was my father's sister, my bua and Chandralekha was her daughter, my cousin with whom I could share anything.

As they arrived by the evening, I and Chandra went to my chamber immediately and reaching there, she hugged me tightly. Even she understood that I didn't want to marry.

"Are you okay Nayan? Why are you letting this happen? You never wished to marry."

"I am helpless Chandra. You know pitaji how he would react. I can't oppose his decision so I decided to obey it."

I narrated her the whole incident and understood my condition. After that we talked and enjoyed for a while. She told me about Dev Pratap.

"I have heard that he is very strict but kind hearted and a mighty king. He always stood for his kingdom and their people. People say he inherited the throne after his elder brother passed away."

She told me alot about him much to my disinterest. Spending half of the night giggling and gossiping, she went to her chamber back and I also drifted into sleep as tomorrow was the hawan.
