Mia said that she would return in time to prepare dinner, and she thought she was capable enough to live up to her own words but she had proven herself wrong - which wasn't an uncommon occurrence - when she arrived back in Spinners End at nearly midnight. She had gotten caught up with Mona.

She stumbled through the fireplace, the warmth of the flames leaving her body as she waved a hand in front of her face to brush away any cinder that could have gotten on her, before letting out a small cough from the dust.

She stepped out of her shoes, wondering if Severus had eaten at all. She hoped that he at least made a small meal for himself to avoid going to bed hungry. She was starting to feel quite bad.

Only then did she look up and find that she wasn't alone.

Severus already had his eyes set on her, gaze smouldering and unreadable. Her mind would have immediately ran, wondering if he was very upset with her which she hoped he wasn't because she would then want to apologize - until she noticed another pair of eyes boring into her.

Rosaline.

The room was silent, filling in with some sort of tension. The way they sat there, just staring at her made her feel uneasy, as if she had interrupted an important conversation they were having.

She audibly gulped, rubbing the back of her neck, and before she had a chance to say anything, the blonde spoke up.

"I've been wondering where the maid was," She finally looked over from Mia, chuckling as she shared a glance with Severus. "Take my luggage to the guest room maid." With a manicured hand she gestures to a suitcase that sat by the door.

Luggage....luggage?

"Luggage?" She end up sounding her thoughts, eyes widening as she looks over at Severus.

He blinked, expression blank. Detached he was, it was basically radiating off him, and it frustrated her so much. She wanted to be able to read him so badly, question why Rosaline of all people was here, why she had her luggage in the house.

"Yes, luggage." She frowned, disapproving her lack of subordination, and snapped her fingers to grab back Mia's attention. "Hurry now."

She watched as the older woman dismissively waves her off, and continues her banter with Severus whos menacing gaze was still brushing over her figure, till finally, he wordless takes them away, no longer giving her any form of attention. Her eyes flickered between them both, the way she talked with so much interest, the way he listened seemingly with so much intent.

Slowly, she walked over to the door, and dropped her shoes by it. The hard leather collided against the wooden floor with a loud thud, and she secretly wished the sound would get his attention, get him to at least look over at her but he didn't.

With a trembling hand, Mia grabbed the suitcase tightly, so tightly the rough fabric stung the skin of her palm but she didn't care. Carelessly she dragged it out of the living room, towards the guest bedroom which didn't need much prepping.

As if she would have gotten the prepping done anyway. She had already neglected a lot of her duties, so not neglect more? Severus doesn't care. He won't ever care.

Once she dumped the suitcase on the floor of the room, she quickly stormed out of it to return to her own till she hears Rosaline call out for her.

"Maid! Prepare some cocktails for us please! A Bloody Mary specifically."

"Then go to a damn bar!" But Mia didn't say that other then in her mind.

With a sigh, she rubbed her eyes in frustration, not wishing to listen to that woman's voice for any longer.
