Tom had just dropped Adriana off at her new school, a surprising find in this hidden town. What amused her even more was the stark contrast in vibes between the people here and the Addams family, who were the first locals she had met.

The first half of the day proved to be rather dull, Adriana admitted to herself. Despite being the new kid, she couldn't shake the feeling of being pegged as the "popular" girl, mostly because of her appearance. With her stylish outfit and confident demeanor, she stood out amidst the sea of students, their attire ranging from trendy to nondescript.

As lunchtime approached, Adriana found herself seated with a group from the "popular" clique. She looked visibly bothered as she forced herself to laugh along with their conversations about crushes, gossip, and titles. But her relief came swiftly when Wednesday entered the cafeteria.

Immediately, the entire school seemed to hush as all eyes turned to watch him warily. Wednesday was dressed in a knitted turtleneck sweater and baggy grey jeans, his signature attire that stood out in contrast to the typical student fashion. His hair was tousled as if he hadn't bothered to comb it, and his eyes were rimmed with heavy bags while his lips were pale.

Adriana couldn't help but feel a sense of pull with Wednesday, despite the differences in their appearances and backgrounds. She admired his nonchalant attitude and the way he seemed unfazed by the attention he garnered.

As Wednesday made his way through the cafeteria, Adriana watched him with a mixture of curiosity and admiration. She couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to be as effortlessly cool and mysterious as him.

In that spontaneous moment, Adriana, feeling a surge of boldness, reached out and snagged Wednesday's hand as he ambled past her table, clearly on a mission to escape the cafeteria's chaos. Ignoring the shocked gasps reverberating around the room, Wednesday hated how his heart started beating rapidly and how these overwhelming feelings washed over him from one simple touch.

"Where do you think you're sneaking off to?" Adriana quipped, her voice laced with a playful tone as she initiated a conversation with a Addams, completely unfazed by the whispers rippling through the room. After all, who else but Adriana could casually halt Wednesday Addams in his tracks?

Wednesday, taken aback by Adriana's boldness, couldn't help but feel a flicker of amusement dance within him. "To the rooftop," he replied, his voice carrying a hint of deadpan humor. "Hoping the wind will cooperate and give me a little push." His voice, was not husky, just super deep, and had a lazy tone which Adriana found loving.

Adriana's laughter bubbled forth, a melodic sound that seemed to fill the room with warmth. She swiftly gathered her belongings, shooting Wednesday a mischievous grin. An expression that was new to everyone as another gasp filled the room. "Well, I won't let you take that leap alone. Mind if I join you?"

Wednesday regarded her with a mixture of surprise and intrigue, his usual stoic expression momentarily softened by a ghost of a smile. "Suit yourself," he replied, unable to suppress a chuckle at Adriana's audacity.

As they made their way to the rooftop, Adriana couldn't shake the feeling of exhilaration coursing through her veins. She had managed to stop Wednesday Addams in his tracks and even convinced him to let her tag along on his rooftop escapade—a feat that would surely earn her some bragging rights among her peers.

Wednesday stood true to his word, positioning himself precariously close to the edge of the rooftop, allowing the gusts of wind to buffet him mercilessly. Adriana, on the other hand, remained unfazed, leaning casually against the railing as she munched on her lunch, seemingly unconcerned by the perilous proximity of Wednesday to a potential plummet.

As Wednesday savored the exhilarating rush of the wind, Adriana stole occasional glances in his direction, a mischievous glint dancing in her eyes. "You know," she remarked casually between bites, "most people prefer sitting at a table to enjoy their lunch. But I suppose living life on the edge suits you better, Wednesday."

Wednesday spared her a wry smile, his eyes betraying a hint of amusement. Something he was starting to notice would happen a lot around the girl. "It has its perks," he admitted, his voice carrying a rare note of levity. "Besides, it's a good vantage point for contemplating the futility of existence."

Adriana chuckled, the sound mingling with the whistling of the wind. "Ah, the age-old existential crisis. I can guess it's a classic Wednesday Addams pastime."

They stayed together on the rooftop, their conversation ending abruptly, yet there was no uncomfortable tension as they sat together in silence, feeling at ease in each other's company. When the bell rang, they simply went their separate ways without any fuss.
