I was getting ready for the beach, I picked out a claw clip, white sliders, denim shorts and a bikini underneath, I packed my beach bag with an oversized T-shirt incase, some sun cream, tanning oil and my sunglasses along with my speaker

I was rushing to brush my teeth when I heard Hector honking the horn with all his might (yes ik hector doesn't have his license yet but who cares) , I finished brushing my teeth and sprinted down the stairs, sliding across the hall floors and speed walking down the driveway to his car, I seen Tessa in the front seat so I had to take the back seat with Marc, which I honestly wasn't complaining about, I put my bag on the floor,
"Jesus hector could you honk any longer" I say sighing and clicking my seatbelt on "Well yes Els, i could" he said in a sassy tone
Tessa laughs and connects her playlist through Hector's car's Bluetooth,
"That's a nice bikini" Marc says looking at me "Thanks Marc gooey" I said laughing, We called him gooey because his surname was so difficult to pronounce as kids,
"Don't even start Els" he looks at me with a serious laugh before Tessa bursts out laughing which causes a chain reaction with the rest of us,
We finally arrive at the beach and make our way to 'our area' which he sun was beating down on, i set up my speaker and Tessa played some good good music through it, I applied my tanning oil, sharing some with Tessa as she forgot hers, we lay down on our beach towels as the boys run into the ocean, the ocean was so clear, it was crystal blue and the vibes were just too good, we close our eyes and sing along to the music, having no clue about the boys sneaking up behind us splashing us with water, we scream at the same time and chase the boys into the ocean, i jump onto Marc's back, Tessa jumping onto Hector and we dunk them under water for a few second before jumping off and letting them breathe again.
"ELS" Marc shouts laughing and running his hands through his hair, the water trickling down his toned abs, I couldn't help but look, I found myself staring and quickly looked away, He swam over to me "Hey there" he said standing up in the water and snaking his arms around my waist
She looked unreal, her tanned skin, her green eyes, the way her smile fit her face perfectly, she didn't have a flaw I was falling for my best friend.
Hector had listened to me yapping about her the previous night on call for hours,
I didn't have a clue how I was gonna tell her, but I knew for sure I wanted to ask her out, Ella was one of those people that everyone needs in their lives but every time I mess up she always accepts my apologies and I can never understand why.
I chose to be bold today by wrapping my arms around her waist, but go big or go home am I right 🤷♂️
My whole body tingled when he out his arms around me, my cheeks went as red as a cherry but I couldn't help it, I was getting so nervous, all I could hear was the music blaring through the speaker that was still on the beach, I have no clue what possessed me to do such a thing but I kissed him. Yes I kissed him. All I could think was, wtf did I just do But to my surprise he kissed me back, this time putting more effort into it, The kiss turned into a little makeup session I guess you could call it,
The waves were crashing against us as we stood in the ocean, waist deep, kissing and holding each other,

After kissing Marc for what feels like an eternity we emerged from the water and walked back to our set up where we found Hector and Tessa already laying down at,
"took yous long enough" he said smirking "hello love birds" Tessa said looking up from her book
"shut up" i said drying off with my towel and laying down on top of it, finally getting the chance to tan in the hot summer sun, Marc sat down beside Hector, Hector nudging him and making kissy noises, mocking us, me and Tessa exchanged glances and she smirked at me,
i close my eyes and we all sit on the beach for an hour or two before packing up and walking back to Hector's car, Marc opened my door for me, i slid into my seat, he closed the door and quickly ran round to his side and sat beside me, we started driving back, Marcs hand finding its way to my thigh, we made eye contact and smirked ay each-other but continued talking with Hector and Tessa, Tessa was first to get dropped off, then it was my turn, Marc walked me to the front door and we kissed goodbye
"so would you like to grab dinner tomorrow night?" he said scratching the back of his neck nervously "i would love that Marc" i say smiling "great, ill pick you up at 7pm tomorrow then" he said and we kissed again, i opened the door and walked inside as he turned back and walked to Hector's car, Hector was whistling and Marc was telling him to shut up
I fell asleep with butterflies in my stomach, i could not contain my excitement, 12 year old me would be screaming right now if i told her i kissed Marc and that I was going on a date with him!!
