Chapter 6: New Discoveries

Grayson and his Allies continue on
Gardevoir: Think we're near anyone or anything, master?
Grayson: Hmmm. I don't hear anything near us
Retrospecter: Yeah, seems like we're pretty isolated. We might be the first group to find and kill a boss in their boss room. Hell, we may be the only ones to have found and killed a boss
Grayson: I doubt that. Someone must have figured it out by now. Boss rooms are pretty far apart, I'd imagine
Gardevoir: Yeah, that makes sense
Retrospecter: Yeah. We all know anything that would make this process and experience easier is automatically a no-go
The three chuckle and agree as they continue chatting for a bit before suddenly a large amount of lights go out ahead of them
The three stop
Grayson: Hang on. Somethings up
The other two stay quiet while Grayson listens closely
Grayson: I hear heavy footsteps ahead. Doesn't sound like Blastoise. Whatevers over there isn't on our side. Proceed with caution
The other two nod as they all creep forward, making no noise
As they get closer, the noise get louder
Grayson stops the group again
Grayson: It's close. Hide behind this wall
The three hide behind a wall with two doorways on either side
The noise was really loud
Whatever it was was on the other side of the thin yellow wall
They all stayed dead silent as the big figure walked through the doorway on their left
Grayson scowled once he realized the monster was none other than Corrupted Nightmare Freddy
He passed them without realizing and stopped in front of them to sniff and look around for his prey
Corrupted Nightmare Freddy: Those brats should be somewhere around here, and with this...
Corrupted Nightmare Freddy pulls out a red gem
The other three look in surprise
Corrupted Nightmare Freddy: I'll be sure to make quick work of them😈 Especially their nuisance of a leader, that "Grayson" guy. Oh, I hate him!
Corrupted Nightmare Freddy balls his claw into a fist, but un-balls it shortly after
Corrupted Nightmare Freddy: Whatever. I'll easily kill him and his foolish friends easily this time.
Corrupted Freddy walks farther to the left and down a different doorway and hallway
Retrospecter: He has two?!
Gardevoir: There's no way we can take him with just the three of us
Grayson thinks for a moment
Grayson sighs and looks down
Grayson: You're right. Him having two gems puts us at a major disadvantage. I'm not sure what to do now...
Gardevoir and Retrosoector out their hand on Graysons shoulders
Retrospecter: Don't sweat it, little man! We'll figure something out!
Gardervoir: Yeah! We're right behind ya, master😉
Grayson looks up and smiles
Grayson: Thanks guys😊 I'm glad you found me
The other two agree and hugged Grayson
Retrospecter: So where we headed, boss?😁
Grayson: Well, Nightmare Freddy feels more like a final boss or something like that, so I suppose we just avoid him and look for other bosses
The other two nod as they head past the doorway Corrupted Nightmare Freddy went and continued onwards
Malaya and Cinderace had been walking for awhile without finding anything
Malaya: God, this place is massive
Cinderace: Tell me about it. Pretty sure it's endless. We could be super close or super far from people
Malaya sighs and stops
Malaya: Yeah, I feel like we're far from people. I haven't heard anything form anywhere. I'm worried about Gray
Cinderace stops and smiles and puts her hand on May's shoulder
Cinderace: Don't worry, May. We both know how strong he is. He's ok. We'll find him
Cinderace puts her arm around May and pulls her to her side
Malaya smiles and hugs Cinderace
Malaya: Thanks, Cinderace. I'm glad I found you. Especially since you're one of Grays pokemon. He has quite the bond with you guys😊
Cinderace grins and looks up and thinks about Gray
Cinderace: Yeah, *chuckles* we've been through a lot
Cinderace looks at Malaya as they smile at each other before being disrupted by a metal clanging
Malaya and Cinderace look at each other and nod, getting ready to fight or flight
The noise was coming from behind a wall in front of them
Cinderace and Malaya walk to the wall and hide behind it
Cinderace signals for Malaya to wait where she was as she took a look around the corner
Cinderace turns peaks around the corner to see a Corrupted Boltund digging through trash
Cinderace gets back behind the wall and whispers to Malaya
Cinderace: It's a Corrupted Boltund.
Malaya: Oof. If it's anything like Grays, it's super fast and super dangerous
Cinderace nods and takes another peak
Corrupted Boltund finishes up with searching the garbage and begins to trot away
Cinderace: It's leaving
Malaya: Should we follow it?
Cinderace looks back at Malaya and looks like she was going to immediately protest until she thought about it for a moment
Cinderace: It would be dangerous, but we do eventually need that Gem, so let's do it. Just stay quiet
Malaya nods as they creep the way Boltund went
Incineroar and Blastoise continue walking on
Incineroar: See anything, big guy?
Blastoise: No, sadly. Looks like we're on our own for a little while longer
Incineroar: Well, we make a powerful Duo anyway😊
Blastoise smiles
Blastoise: True, but definitely would be stronger if we found the others
Incineroar: I know, I'm just saying we'll be able to last until then
Blastoise: Oh yeah, we got this for sure😎
Blastoise loads his cannons
Blastoise: I have no doubt in that
Blastoise and Incineroar continue on for awhile longer before something feels off...
Incineroar: Do you feel that?
Blastoise: Yeah. Not sure what is...
The two continue on, getting chills up their back
Mist appears in the area
Blastoise: Be ready for anything, my friend.
Incineroar nods and charges his fire power
Lights begin to flicker
The two come to a halt as a door blocks their way
The look at each other and nod
They walk up to the door and notice a golden skull door knob with emerald eyes on it
The mist was seeping through the door, coming from beneath it
Blastoise grabs the door knob and twists it as he hears a click and pushes the door open
Blastoise: Ready?
Incineroar nods and gives a thumbs up
Blastoise slightly nods back as they head in, the door shutting and locking behind them
