Crosania's POV
Before I could start another conversation, I looked up and noticed we were in front of a well built city. Klaus spoke up "Well Crosania, this is Linola City and I am the amazingly awesome leader". Conceided much. I quietly giggled under my breath. Klaus may look big and bad, but with what he just said told me he also has a playful side to him. He spoke up again "Shall we?" I wasn't sure what he was talking about until I looked down and saw him holding out his hand to me. Friendly gesture. I was hesitant at first. Physical contact with strangers made my palms sweaty. "Don't worry, I don't bite" the sides of his mouth curling up into a warm smile. I wiped my sweaty palms onto my worn out jeans and placed my hand into his.
He gently started tugging me forward, like an excited child pulling on his mother. It seemed like he was in a rush. Why is he so excited? Jesus I'm sure he receives new comers all the time. We started walking down a dirt road path that led to the concrete side walks of the city. I was more than nervous. What if his people despise me? I couldn't help but keep these same thoughts on rewind in my head. Once we reached the city Klaus happily shouted "HEY EVERYONE, WE'VE GOT ANOTHER NEWBIE, THIS ONE IS SPECIAL!" The people that were buzzing on the side walks busily, all stopped and looked at me. Here come the torches and pitch forks, so I thought. I didn't expect them to all start cheering crazily as if I were a miracle to them. And what did Klaus mean I was special? I guess I'll find out when he tells me what the hell is wrong with me.
My cheeks started to heat up with all of the attention I was getting. Usually back when I was human, the only attention I would get would be from my mother. This was splendid. I felt absolutely loved even if these people were total strangers. But I do know the sooner I sneak out of this city, the faster I can kill Scottie, and Nick. There's no way in hell I can forget about what they did. They took away my privileges of being human, put my mom through hell, then acted like they were innocent victims. But this, all these people of linola city can help me loosen up the swarming, violent thoughts in the back of my brain. Klaus pulled me out of my thoughts and took hold of my hand once again, and gave me a comforting squeeze.
Klaus parted his lips to speak "Crosania doll, before I tell you anything, I'll give you a pair of new clothes back at my palace, where you'll be staying". WHAT?! Holy Mexican food he has a palace. Dumb shit he's the leader remember? Kind of like a president. Did you expect him to live in a shack? My conscience was right. What was I thinking? Of course he lived a happily rich life. The people of his city were now cheerfully murmuring to one another. Klaus raised up his hand as a sign to quiet down. The sound of the crowd went silent. He spoke loud enough so that everyone can hear him "Now, this newbie's name is Crosania Malenzo, we will all treat her with the same respect that you all show towards me". The crowd replied all together "Yes Klaus". At least I thought it was the whole crowd, because when my eyes traveled toward the back of the crowd I saw a group of three girls staring hatefully at me. I can see they'll be a problem.
One of the three girls rudely spoke up "Hey Klaus! Is she going to be your number one bitch?!" The other two girls laughed obnoxiously. The girl who spoke up wasn't even good looking. She had jet black hair that was cut messily uneven, shit brown eyes, ashy pale skin, and a hooked nose. I see I have some fans. Klaus raised an eyebrow and said something I wouldn't expect him to say with that oh so proper mouth "She'll be my number one queen, while you'll stay number one slut". Jennifer gasped but didn't say anything after that. Wait hold on Klaus called me his queen. Oh my god. He spoke once more before ending his short gathering "You may all go back to your jobs or training sessions". With that the crowd slowly began to decrease.
Klaus turned to me and said "Hope you don't mind that I called you my queen" he smirked. I spoke, almost breathlessly "Not at all" I returned the smirk he gave me. "Now that that's cleared up. Shall we walk to my palace?" He kindly asked. "Yes we shall" I couldn't help the toothy grin that was forming. Klaus was my age, yet he was proper, playful, and intelligent. This is the type of boy I only thought existed in fairy tales.
