Author's Note: I wanted to make this very clear before you read: the person who requested this as well as myself do NOT condone cheating.

I tried to emphasize that throughout all the chapters I've done in the past that contain the topic as well as this one though in this one, there's no cheating involved!

Thank you so much and I hope you enjoy 🩷

Taylor took another sip of her drink and shook her head with a laugh as she watched her drunk friends try to dance.

Suddenly, there was a tap on her hand and she turned her head to see who it was.

Since this is a party that one of her friends is throwing, she figured she'd see a familiar face looking back at her but when she saw you she realized that she had no idea who you were.

There was a drunken smile on your face and your eyes looked bright as you stared at her.

Taylor being Taylor didn't hesitate to kindly speak to you.

Just because she didn't know who you were doesn't mean she won't talk to you, she's not that kind of person.

So she sent you a friendly smile and said,

"Hello. I'm Taylor, what's your name?"

"I'm Y/N," You slurred.

Seeing that she was in front of all the drinks, she stepped aside.

You probably didn't need more but she doesn't know you well yet and she's not your boss so she can't stop you from getting more if that's what you're here for.

"Sorry, did you want a drink? I feel bad that I'm right in your way."

"You're not. I'm not in here for another drink, I wanted to talk to you."

Taylor chuckled and sipped on her drink.

She's used to that but she can't deny that it's refreshing to have someone so beautiful flirting with her.

"So are you here with anyone tonight?"

"No." She confessed. "How about you?"

You shook your head at her and she couldn't deny that she liked that response and the possibility of flirting back with you.

"You're so beautiful." You blurted out. "This alcohol makes me very straightforward."

"I can tell." She laughed. "It's cool though, don't worry. I like that."

Your eyes seemed to sparkle more and her blue ones started to do the same.

"I'm so upset that Abigail never introduced me to you! I mean, we've been friends for only a few months but still. You're so pretty! Why was she hiding you from me?"

Taylor laughed.

"I could ask her the same question about you."

You bit your lip and stared at her, only for your phone to light up as it rang.

Taylor caught the name on your screen and saw it read 'my love' and she shook her head with a sigh.

"Look, Y/N, you seem very nice but I saw that name on the screen of your phone. Are you dating someone?"

"I don't know what we are." You quietly spoke. "She confuses me sometimes. But if you want to be technical, yes."

"Y/N, the flirting has to stop then. I can't let this lead somewhere if you're already with someone. That's wrong."

It seemed that your drunkness had faded off and you were more in reality now as you realized what you were doing.

"Even if it's not serious, even if you're on the verge of splitting up, no matter the scenario - I can't be with someone who is in a relationship already. That's not right."

She came over to you and put her hand on your back.

"Come on, I'll call you a cab and you can go home. Someone's waiting for you."

You groaned as the alcohol started to catch up to you and as you waited, Taylor waited with you.

"Don't take it personally, okay? I think you're sweet. But you've got someone at home."

You were about to speak as the cab pulled up in front of you.

"Come on."

She kindly helped you into the cab and you sent her a warm smile.

"Take care. Be safe."

"I'm sorry." You spoke.

"It's alright. Get home to your girl, she's waiting for you. Maybe you two can work things out, maybe you can't. But you've got a girl at home and she deserves loyalty, no matter the situation."

You nodded understandingly and she closed the door before you placed your head against the window as the car drove off and Taylor let out a sigh, wishing that the situation had been different.

But you have a girl at home and this is how things have to be.
