Chapter 9

Mark Pov
I knew something was off after I asked the question that had been on my mind since after my conversation with Jake at the party and her reaction confirmed that something did happen.
"I asked something what happened in the last six months." I reframed the question to make sure she understood what I was saying.
"No....nothing," She said and turned her eyes, but I noticed tears in her eyes.
"Please talk to me" I said in the softest way possible but she completely ignored me, went straight for the door and kept on hitting it.
"We are done talking now open the door" She shouted, banging harder.
"Jake, you have only two minutes I mean you have less than two minutes to open the door I really have to go I have spent a long time already" She screamed this time and Jake instantly opened the door and she turned back.
"See you later Mark no hard feelings" She said and smiled.
"And you there is a lot of hard feelings " She said looking at Jake, who had a naughty smile on his face.
"Bye" She shouted and left.
"So what happened?" He asked, coming closer.
"She forgave me for real this time" I said, putting my towel in a bag.
"So....." He turned me around.
"But I have to win her over" I said, smiling to myself.
"She refused to tell me about the last six months" I said after a while.
"Then she doesn't trust you yet" He responded.
"Just tell me" I said out of frustration.
"I can't, it took me a month to find out and she refused to tell me" Jake had a look in his eyes that felt like sadness.
"But you are my friend" I said immediately.
"I am her friend too and I have learnt to love and respect her and she is like a sister to me and what you did was unfair so when she thinks you are ready to know the truth you will know the truth" He shouted and stormed out of the locker room and I was left alone.

Jake Pov
I left the locker room feeling very annoyed, like why would he even want to use the friendship card on me after he begged me to be with her while he was away.
"Hey" I heard a familiar voice echoing.
I looked up to see Gabby standing by door wearing a crop top and trousers with a smile on her face.
"Why did you come here? I looked for you all day and I called, and you didn't pick up my calls" I said, noticing her smile turning into a frown.
"I could not come to school today, and I don't think I should be sorry for that" Gabby snapped at me.
"But why didn't you answer my calls at least, where you alright? and I didn't hear from you last night either?" I said entering the passengers seat of my car.
"I had to attend this stupid ball for rich kids with my step sister Tina, who is a sweetheart and one of my followers on my socials, it was so boring and long. It was like Bridgeton without the drama kind of ball and it was stupid then I got home really late because of Tina's friends unending questions. This morning my mom had her way of making me have a meeting with my entire team which took at least four hours to discuss my change in schedule and location" Gabby explained and she was livid.
"I told her we could have it at the weekend but she told me that my weekend was packed with balls,charity event and of course a shoot for my new dad's magazine and cosmetics that I will forever hate but I also love at the same time" She said moving her hands from the steering wheel so many times.
"Keep your hands on the wheels" I instructed in a firm voice.
"Sorry" She smiled moving her hands up and the car swayed.
"Hey" I shouted and she held the steering wheel laughing at my reaction.
"It is not funny" I said very tensed.
"I am sorry for real this time" She said holding the steering wheel tighter.
"Have you told Red yet?" I said and her expression harden.
"She is not talking to me" She said after a while.
"Why?" I was shocked knowing they were like two peas in a pod.
"Since the party she thinks I diched her" She responded focusing her eyes on the road.
"Have you tried to explain?" I asked not sure if that was a right question.
"What should I say? Hi Red I am sorry for leaving I was with my boyfriend or I was with Jake and we were hanging out or even making out because he is my boyfriend" She said getting angry.
"I am sorry okay, you don't have to explain if you don't want to" I said smiling sadly at her.
"Not like I don't want to but you know Red her reaction is going to be pretty bad since you know all that happened to her" She put her hands on mine and I took hers an interlocked it.
"So....what are you going to do?" I asked and she smiled at me.
"I gave no other choice than to use Gabby's charm on her and she will never refuse me" She smiled and she packed the car on front of a house I can't recognise.
"Where are we?" I asked and she raised her eyes brows giving me 'You are kidding me' look.
"This is my grandma's house" She said coming down.
"I am staying here until the weekend then I will go back" She smiled and took my hands.
"We are going inside" She whispered after she noticed my expression.
"Anna" I heard her shout as she entered the house.
"Gabby, I missed you so much" A little girl of about five came up and hugged Gabby on her waist.
"Me too. I missed you more" Gabby kissed her all over her face.
"Gabriella" An older lady that looked familiar who came from a room that looks like a kitchen.
"Grandma" Gabby ran straight into her arms that was open wide.
" I missed you grandma" She said smiling brightly at her.
"Then you should come visit" Gabby's grandma hugged her again.
"Sure Grandma" Gabby said.
"Who is this?" The little girl named Anna asked pointing at me.
"This is Jake" Gabby said moving towards me.
"Jake"Her grandma said smiling and it finally hit why her face was so familiar.
"Grandma zoey" I said in shock and she pulled in a hug.
