"DAD, IM STAYING OVER, at Ada's," Maggie chirped as she kissed Faye on the head. "Right go on," Her father told her, waving his hands around, only to remember something. "Ask Polly when she wants her teapot back." James turned to her, pecking the side of her head before she goes. "I'll be back around seven."

Her father gave her a slight nod, "Oh, and by the way, I'm bringing Faye with me, Dad," Maggie told her father as she scooped the cat into her arms. "But I'm going to be all alone then," Her father frowned. "It's only one night," Maggie grinned.

"Have fun, my girl." James smiled at her, "Ná bí buartha déanfaidh mé," Maggie smiled back at him before pulling her trench coat over her slim frame, hiding Faye under it and dashing out into the pouring rain over to the Shelby household.

Maggie knocked twice on the door before it was swung open by Ada, who embraced her. "It's pouring rain out there," Ada remarked, observing the heavy rain. "Really, I didn't even notice," Maggie replied sarcastically.

"Oh yeah, sorry, you must be freezing," Ada apologised quickly before stepping to the side to let Maggie into the Shelby household. It was oddly quiet in the usually chaotic house. "Where's everyone else?"

Ada shrugged, "John is at home with the kids, Polly's at church, Arthur's at the ring and Thomas has most likely drowned himself in the cut for all I know," Ada ticked off on her fingers.

"I wouldn't be surprised," Maggie thought aloud.

The two girls sat on the couch together as Faye took in the change of scenery. The pair talked for hours, they told stories, gossiped and talked about random things.

They eventually went to bed though, and fell asleep quick. As soon as their heads hit the pillows they in a deep slumber. Maggie woke up a few times in the middle of the night though, the reasons being that her throat was dry. She checked her clock, it was 2:37 in the morning. The blonde woman crept downstairs to get a cup of water to quench her thirst.

Maggie found a cup and ran the cool water. She drank the water swiftly, gently placing the cup in the sink and quietly moving up the stairs. Skipping the steps that creaked. When she reached the top of the stairs she heard a yelp of some kind. Maggie listened closely for another, wondering if the lack of sleep was making her hear things.

Another quiet yelp made itself known. It was coming from Tommy's room. Had someone broken in and caught him off guard? That was unlikely.

Maggie crept towards Tommy's room, she presumed it to be locked like usual — but it wasn't. She turned the doorknob. There was a soft click when she opened the door, and when she did, she'd seen Tommy squirming recklessly in his bed. He seemed to be.... trapped in his head?

Maggie walked cautiously toward the man, shaking his shoulder slightly in an attempt to wake him up. It was useless. "Tommy, wake up.." She whispered gently to him, her words going into his sleep. "It's just a dream,"

She was now kneeling beside his bedside, trying to wake him as gently as she could.

"Tom, wake up," She murmured and like a flip had been switched, he shot up. Suddenly awake and alert. He grabbed a pistol from under his pillow and pointed the weapon directly at Maggie, all in one swift motion. Her eyes were fearful while his were cold.
