THE FIRST THING MAGGIE FELT when she woke up was Thomas Shelby's bare chest underneath her and his arms wrapped around her as he cuddled her. Maggie knew he was already awake because she could smell the smoke from his cigarette that circled around the two lovers.

The touch of Tommy's finger tips glided up and down her arm gently, it was then that Maggie noticed the lack of light in the room — meaning it was either really late at night or really early in the morning. Maggie couldn't help but feel a bit cocky at the thought that she was the one he held in his arms.

This was the side of Tommy only she could see, the glimpse of Tommy from before the war. The one that would write her love letters, the one that would smile and laugh at her stupid jokes. The one that wouldn't wake her up early in the morning.

"I see you're awake, darling." Tommy whispered in her ear playfully and causing her to snap back to reality. Goosebumps ran up her spine as his breath tickled her ear.

"Well my eyes are open, aren't they?" She said sarcastically. "I plan on changing that." He smirked at the blonde. Maggie rolled her eyes at his cockiness, she hated mornings. "Change your fucking sleep schedule." Maggie scowled at him through her exhaustion.

"I love listening to your accent," He chuckled as she pulled a morning gown over her slim frame. Or was it a coat? She didn't know.

"What time is it?" She asked Tommy casually, "It's half four in the morning." He shrugged, as if it was normal to be up at this time.

"Half four in the morning!?" She was shocked to say the least. "Why the absolute fuck of all fucks did you wake me up at half fucking four in the morning!?" Maggie gave out to him, she was walking around the room in circles.

"Get out." Maggie crossed her arms as she turned to him. "What?" Tommy sounded confused by her sudden statement. "Get out, go downstairs and make me a cup of tea." She nodded her head at the door. Tommy kissed her cheek as he headed for the bedroom door.

"Are we in your room or mine?" Maggie questioned with confusion when he came back upstairs after a few minutes with a cup of tea for her, made exactly how she liked it. "Mine, why?" He informed Maggie as he handed her the piping hot tea. "Oh, nothing, I just didn't recognise it. It's quite dark in here." She shrugged.

"Mhm," Tommy nodded in acknowledgment before picking up the pack of cigarettes on his nightstand, taking one out a lighting the cigarette. He offered her one but Maggie declined. "I'll just take yours when you're halfway through." She shrugged.

"I didn't light this cigarette for the goodness of my health."  He pouted slightly, cigarette hanging from his lips. "Are you trying to kill me?!" Maggie shouted inside her head. "He knows what he's doing." She said in her head as Tommy put his head back against the headboard, closed his eyes and blew the smoke out from his lungs.

"Well obviously or else you wouldn't be smoking the bloody thing, you prick." Maggie said sarcastically with a small grin. "Well, you're halfway through the cigarette." Maggie sighed before snatching the cigarette from his lips a few minutes later, "I'll be having that, thanks." She grinned cheekily up at him.

"Hiya Curly!" Maggie waved at Curly while standing on her tippy-toes with a big smile on her face. She noticed the beautiful white horse beside Curly, "Does he have a name?" Maggie turned to Tommy who stood beside her, cigarette hanging from his mouth. "Not yet." He replied.
