TOMMY HAD DRAGGED MAGGIE FROM doing her job at the Garrison. Why? She had no idea. "Tommy, can I ask why you have just yanked me from working like it was nothing?" Maggie had began to question her sanity every time Tommy was with her. He had his arm wrapped around her as her heels clicked against the cold cobblestone.
"I want to spend time with you," Tommy replied, a small smile on his lips. The pair stopped briefly outside Polly's home as Tommy opened the door, holding the door open for Maggie like a gentleman. When she looked at the people in the room she froze, staring at Arthur Shelby Sr. Her face dropped at the sight of him.
"Maggie, how are doing?" He asked as he looked at her, a strange look — a look of lust. Her eyes trailed along the scar across his right cheek, knowing she was the cause of it.
She didn't answer, just kept staring at him with a deep hatred. Tommy came in then, stopping in his tracks right beside Maggie. Staring at his father as he wrapped a protective arm around Maggie, standing slightly in front of her.
"Aye, well, speak of the devil. How are you son?" Arthur Sr said at the sight of his second eldest. He placed the knife down on the table and sat up from his chair, standing opposite of Tommy. She decided whether she should take the knife on the table and give him a matching scar for the other side.
Tommy shook his head in response, no emotions were displayed on his face as he looked at his father. "Get out." Tommy spoke, staring across from him. Maggie's breathing was fast and slightly uncontrollable as she continued staring at Arthur Sr.
She was taking small and silent steps closer to Tommy who wrapped an arm around her waist gently, apparently sensing her fear of the man across from them.
Arthur Sr smirked slightly at her. "Come on, son. I'm a changed man." He tried to reason with Tommy and it failed. In Tommy's eyes, Arthur Sr was someone who he could never forgive or trust again.
"This family needed you ten years ago, and you walked out on us. Not now. Get out of this house." Tommy spoke coldly to his father, if you could even call him that.
"Tommy, he's different—" Arthur began but was cut off by a sharp "shut up" from Tommy. "It's alright, son. Arthur Shelby never stays where he's not wanted." He began to pick up his things.
"At least you're aware." Maggie spoke quietly to herself, only person who heard being Tommy. Arthur Sr sniffed slightly, "Quite something you've become." He nodded before walking towards the door.
He patted Finn's head as he passed, "Bye, son." He looked down at Finn before walking out just like he did ten years ago. Finn looked after his father he barely knew before John tapped his shoulder to grab his attention.
"He's our dad," Arthur spoke quietly, looking at the table, avoiding his brothers eyes. Tommy scoffed at his brother and sighing as if he was thick in the skull. "He's a selfish bastard." Tommy replied. "You calling someone a selfish bastard.. that's a bit rich, Tommy. I mean, thanks to you, we're already down a bloody sister." Arthur spat.
Both Maggie and Tommy turned the full force of their eyes on Arthur. "You want to see him, Arthur? You want to see him? You go with him." Tommy threatened while point a finger at the doorway.
Arthur looked at the doorway and table a few times, debating whether he should or not go. Arthur stood up abruptly and walking over to where Tommy stood, arm still holding Maggie. Arthur didn't say anything before going after Arthur Sr. The door opened and slammed after Arthur. Everyone stood in silence, not daring to say anything.

Later on in the day, the evening to be exact, Maggie and Grace were working behind the bar. The pub wasn't as crowded as usual but there were a few people. Tommy sat at the bar, glass of whiskey in hand and cigarette in the other.
