Part 22 - Deep Sleep

2 Months Later
LOKIS POV
2 whole months had passed, the stones were returned as well as Natasha somehow, Steve had brought her back when he took the stones back to were they belonged and countries and worlds had been celebrating the end of the blip. However the very person who kept the universe from extinction was still in a deep sleep, my mother worked on her hard the day I brung her to her. She looked already prepared, I have a feeling she knew what Y/N was going to need it nonetheless it worked it just depended on when y/n was ready to wake now.

Tony had moved us to his home and set us up there until y/n wakes, he was distraught he kept blaming himself saying he should have been quicker, he should have got there first. He thought it was supposed to be him to do it, he was adamant. He had told me everything about the past 5 years. From y/n at the beginning all the way to the end. He admitted he pushed her to move on which I would have wanted if I hadn't came back but apparently she didn't have anything of it. She went on thinking I wasn't coming back, just to stay in love with me. Nothing more to it. She didn't wish to find anyone else. And it broke me that I was gone all that time whilst she suffered.

Y/N POV
I had woke up in water, there was a willow tree in the distance with a black sky surrounding it. I walk towards it to see a figure in the distance. I continue to walk towards it "hello my little star" the voice spoke I hadn't heard that voice in a long time. "Father?..." I question he faces me "you've come far" he states "how are you here?" I ask in complete shock "I'm here as a guide, you have a choice" he states I hug him tears streaming down my face "a guide?" I question he sighs "yes, you made a decision of bringing back souls that shouldn't be alive." He states "Nat and vision" I say, he nods "right now you are between life and death, because you went against the very thing you are, balance" he says "I couldn't let them go father, their my family" I say "I know, I know. But as I said there's a choice, you can move on be in peace be with me and your mother...or go back" he says "is there anything more to it?" I ask unsure it seems too easy "life will have its challenges and you will have to face them, eventually when it is your time it'll be your soul taken in return for Natasha's" he says "and what happens then?.." I ask "it depends on how innocent your soul stays, if you live a happy life, a good one. When your time comes you'll be at peace however if it turns dark and you lead a miserable existence you will be trapped forever in the stone" he says I sigh if the challenges are hard I may turn dark, miserable however if I do as I've always done I will eventually be met with peace. I can try. If not for me for Loki, for Tony, for Morgan. Death now seems like the easier option, but I can't leave them.

I wake slowly opening my eyes "DADDY, UNCLE LOKI! SHES AWAKE!" I hear a young voice shout and her footsteps leaving the room. I hear a rush of noise enter the room I see Loki and Tony. "We must stop meeting like this" I say gently, smiling at them Loki rushes over to me grabbing my face "darling...your...awake" he says his face pained he looked rough. He hugs me tight "hello my love" I say to him, hugging him back. He lets go of me "never do that again" he says sternly. Tony walks over "glow bug.." he says hugging me "why did you do it!" He says. I awkwardly shuffle and look at him "I had to" I state Loki looks at me in realisation, tony just looked confused "you didn't have to y/n! You were literally on the brink of death!" He says "and what would that have made you" I say, he just sighs "I'm glad your back glow bug" he says getting up from the bed "I'll leave you two be, but be warned Morgan will want to see you in a bit" Tony says, i nod. He shuts the door leaving us. "So you had another dream whilst I was gone?" He said I nod "I couldn't let him do it, especially knowing the outcome" I say honestly Loki nods "well your back and your safe, that is all that matters to me" he says.

Just then Morgan runs in "Auntie Y/N!" She screams running at me, jumping onto the bed. "Hello munchkin" I say, dragging her into a hug, she clings onto me and sniffles "why were you sleeping for so long?" She asks "I was dreaming... of a beautiful tree and a night sky" I say exclaiming she cheers up a bit "Really!?" She says smiling widely, I nod "I must take you to visit the tree" I say smiling at her "it's real!" She asks gobsmacked I hum. Just then Tony walks in "Morgan careful with Auntie, she probably needs to rest" Tony says, she crosses her arms with furrowed brows "I want y/n!" She huffs "uhh...I tell you what. I'll give you an ice pop. If you let y/n rest" he says smirking "ok!" She says I give her a kiss on the cheek before she runs out all excited. I look at Loki who seems to be staring at me "what?.." I ask laughing gently "nothing" he says smiling.

LOKIS POV
I loved the way y/n and Morgan interacted. Y/n telling her about her dream whilst Morgan listened full of interest. How y/n looked at her as if she was her own. I had never seen y/n around kids. She was amazing it made me want to start a life like this with her. She'd be an incredible mother. I loved y/n so much, there was nothing she did that would make me feel otherwise. From the beginning she had always put others ahead of herself, always risked her own happiness, freedom and life to ensure everyone she cared for weren't hurting or dying. She was fearless, selfless and loyal. I loved all that about y/n. She never changed.

AN - cute little chapter! Apart from the whole 'trapped forever' thing. But I feel as though I made up for it with Morgan and Loki.
