Part 20 - Thanos Is Here

We were in the lab Tony was attaching the gems to a new iron man glove. Carefully placing all of them "boom!" Rocket shouts laughing immediately after. We head through to the main lab with the glove where everyone is waiting "all right gloves ready, question is who's gonna snap their freakin fingers?" Rocket asks. I go into deep thought about that dream 5 years ago we have the stones what's to say Tony doesn't snap his fingers then again, it was in a war... not right now. Is the dream true. I question again. It's different now, we have the very stones that kill tony. I need to stay alert. "It's gotta be me, you saw what those stones did to thanos, they almost killed him. None of you could survive" Bruce says "how do we know you will?" Steve asks "we don't...but the radiations mostly gamma. It's like... I was made for this" Bruce says "good to go yeah?" Tony asks "let's do it" Bruce replies "okay remember everyone thanos snapped away five years ago..you're just bringing them back to now, today. Don't change anything from the last five years." Tony says, Bruce nods "got it". Everyone gets ready, Tony puts his shield in front of me and Clint. "Friday do me a favour and activate barn door protocol, will ya?" Tony asks the ai "yes boss" she replies the room is closed in with metal doors shutting out all the exposed areas. "Everybody comes home" Bruce says. He starts to move the glove on to his hand, when it locks the gems glow the power sending Bruce to the floor. He groans and shakes "take it off! Take it off!" Thor shouts panicking "no wait, Bruce you ok?" Cap asks he continues to groan "talk to me banner" Tony says "I'm okay...I'm okay" he lets out nodding. He strains yelling as he lifts his hand he snaps. Immediately he falls to the floor eyes going to the back of his head. The glove falls. And Tony patches Bruce. He groans "did it work?" Thor asks "we're not sure it's ok" Steve says. I see Clint go to his phone picking it up "honey?" I feel him say when Bruce's eyes go wide.

We are shot at people falling through the floor. "Hey glow bug" I hear someone say "Tony?" I ask confused "hey you need to get up, thanos is here" I groan "is this a dream" I ask "no" he says he helps me up we join Thor at the front of the what was the compound "what's he been doing?" Tony asks "absolutely nothing" Thor replies "where are the stones?" Steve asks "somewhere under all this. All I know is he doesn't have em" Tony says "let's keep it that way then" I say "you know it's a trap right?" Thor speaks "yeh, I don't much care" Tony replies "good, just as long as we're in agreement" Thor states he summons thunder the skys grow darks grabbing each of his hammers "let's kill him properly this time" Thor says sternly.

We begin to walk towards him "you could not live with your own failure. Where did that bring you? Back to me. I thought by eliminating half of life... the other half would thrive. But you've shown me that's impossible. "And as long as there are those that remember what was...there will always be those that are unable to accept what can be. They will resist" thanos speaks "yep, we're all kinds of stubborn" Tony states "I'm thankful, because now I know what I must do. I will shred this universe down to its last atom and then with the stones you've collected for me...create a new one teeming with life that knows not what it has lost but only what it has been given. A grateful universe" thanos finishes "born out of blood" Steve says "they'll never know it, because you won't be alive to tell them" he replies.

Thor yells going in tony hitting thanos first we all tag in giving and taking shots. We work as a team. I use combat, savouring my magic for later this battleground shows that this is where Tony's is supposed to die. I want to change that. "Ok Thor hit me" Tony says Thor roars gathering thunder sending a blow to Tony's back which charges his blow streams of power shoot towards thanos but he pushes past knocking Tony to the floor. Cap goes in but thanos throws him Thor goes, getting his weapon out of his hands leaving thanos defenceless but thanos also throws him, beating him when thor calls for his axe to use.thanos  grabs it turning it to him, i charge in using magic with my blows this time dodging his attacks trying to protect thor he eventually gets me knocking me to the ground. this feels like deja vu. i defend myself grabbing thors axe between my palms whilst thanos try's to push down  all of a sudden thors hammer is thrown knocking thanos giving me enough time to get to safety. i see its cap with the hammer "i knew it!" thor says breathing heavy before thanos turns to him kicking him in the face knocking him clean out. steve proceeds to thanos with thors hammer. they fight. cap knocking him before thanos grabd him amd throws him to the floor. slashing at him before throwing him away. "in all my years of conquest, violence, slaughter. it was never personal. but ill tell you now...what im about to do to your stubborn, annoying little planet... im gonna enjoy it very very much" thanos says i look behind us a whole army. for fucks sake. i stand and go over to cap helping him up "and im going to enjoy it when you fail" i seethe at him "we'll soon find out,little elf" we walk towards the army "hey cap can you read me?" a voice comes through on coms we stop and look at eachother "cap its sam can you hear me?" he speaks again cap puts his finger to his ear "on your left" sam speaks, me and steve look an orange glow in the shape of a circle appears. we sigh in relief seeing the wakandans walk through, sam flys through and we see loads of other portals open, orange glows everywhere. hundreds of people coming out of them.

"avengers...assemble!" steve shouts.
