First things first, this is my first update of the summer! This means I'll post like once or twice every too weeks. Why? Cause I'm on a writing drought. I will still attempt to post as much as I can!

Also this is angst don't read if you can't take it cause I'm gonna make this really sad and I am NOT paying therapy bills.

Kou pov:

Nene Yashiro is beautiful. She's gorgeous and her smile lights up the entire kingdom. Originally, she was supposed to marry off my older brother, Teru minamoto. However, due to a peace contract, both Aoi Akane and Teru Minamoto have been forced into marriage.

Regardless of the fact that they aren't in love, they love their countries enough to tolerate one another. Now, I am being married to Nene Yashiro. Sure she's pretty, but, a certain pink haired boy has caught my interest. He's the opposite from her. She's so calm and sweet. On the other hand, he's out of pocket and very vulgar.

I know I'm in love with the son of a Noble. Sousuke Mitsuba. I know I want to spend the rest of my life with him. However, my life is to my country. The Minamotos have a reputation as one of the founding fathers of this land. Nene yashiro is the one I must marry, the one whose future impacts more than just me.

I know Nene likes me and I like her but the love I have for Sousuke is unmatched. "Kou, Nene has requested to go on a stroll through the woods with you" Teru came to inform me. "Alright, could you please ask Mr. Natsuhiko to prepare the horses?" I asked Teru. "Of course" Teru replied. A few minutes later I was called to the stables.

"Horses are done!" Natsuhiko said while smirking. "Thank you Mr. Natsuhiko." Nene said while I got on a horse. "Do you need help?" I asked Nene. "Thank you but I'm perfectly fine." She replied with a warm smile. After she got on, we began to head for the woods. "Hey, Kou? Can I trust you?" She asked a little nervous. "Of course." I said attempting to give her my full support.

"I am not in love with you. I fell in love with a peasant boy.. I am in love with Amane Yugi." She said a little too fast for me to comprehend. "Oh, that's lovely, Nene. To tell you the truth, all I feel is platonic love for you." I said smiling. "We are still getting married, right?" I asked her. "Of course. Just cause we aren't in love doesn't mean that our kingdoms deserve to fall." She giggles.

I smiled in return. "Thank you. Not everyone would be this kind." I said smiling at her. "No I should be thanking you. Not everyone would be this understanding." She said returning the smile. After a while of peaceful silence, Nene attempted to continue our discussion. "So um.. if you aren't in love with me, who are you in love with." She asked somewhat nervously.

"See that's the thing.. I'm just not sure what you would say.." I responded hoping she would get the hint. "No I promise to support your feelings like you supported mine!" She said waving her hands frantically and then falling off her horse. I stopped my horse, sprinted over to her and pulled her to her feet.

"I'm actually in love with the son of a noble." I say staring into her eyes hoping hers wouldn't look back at me with disgust. "Ah.. so you're um.. what's the term?" She asked rather calmly. "Homosexual." I said smiling at the fact she didn't mind. "Oh right, who is the male you love?" She asked.

"I um..." I felt my cheeks flush as I thought more and more about him. "Sousuke Mitsuba." I said as I helped her back on her horse. "Oh I know him! He was one of my friends growing up." She said smiling brightly. "He's a little rude at times but he is a sweet person to people he genuinely cares about." She said as she waited for me to get back on my horse.
