FIRST ACTUAL POST OF 2025

(This is the current timeline but like maybe before the school festival? Not sure just play along, I'm tired.)

-third person pov-

"Hey Minamoto-kun!" Sousuke said to kou. "Yo Sousuke!" He said as he waved back. "Ready to go?" Sousuke asked the blonde boy. "Yeah!" He replied. On their walk to school, Sousuke admired the beauty of the cherry blossoms trees. It was very fascinating.

Spring was often associated with change. Had he changed this term? Had anyone else changed since first term? These were the type of questions Sousuke liked to ask himself. As while kou wanted to talk to Sousuke. Kou held back all the conversations he wanted to have because he noticed how much entertainment Sousuke's face showed.

Kou didn't want to take that away from him. Who knows what kind of morning Sousuke had. Why would Kou do something as dumb as potentially ruin it? Instead, kou connected his earbuds to his phone as he listened to music but intentionally left one out on the off chance Sousuke did want to talk to Kou.

Once they arrived at school, Kou noticed Yokoo and Satou. Kou quickly walked up to them and started talking to them. In a sense, he had dragged Sousuke with him, it's not like sousuke minded much. After all it was a normal day like any other. Even if Kou knew Yokoo and Satou before Sousuke, it was almost criminally insane how much better sousuke knew kou.

It's almost as if they were always meant to be friends. Sousuke was in a judgmental free zone whenever he was with kou whereas Kou felt truly acknowledged and respected by Sousuke, never looked down upon, never worshiped either, but rather straight in the eyes. Perhaps that's what made the relationship so special?

The words to explain it simply do not exist, although if they were ever asked down to their very soul how much they mean to each other, they would both say how much they learned, what they love about one another and how living without one another is simply not possible. If they go out they hope it's together.

The sound of the first bell interrupted Kou's conversation with Yokoo as Satou and Sousuke stood there listening, occasionally adding on. After Satou scolded everyone for suggesting skipping to finish a conversation, they headed to their shoe lockers and went to their first period.

Every once in a while, Kou would find himself daydreaming of Sousuke. He'd find himself smiling remembering past conversations with said pink twink. Even though he still had doubts on why someone who he believes to be better in everything be socializing with him. Kou was only a brute. He was good for strength not that he had much, that was his perspective on the matter anyways.

Sousuke may have been weak but a smartass too. Sousuke was doing much better than kou who would spent the periods doodling in his notebook about shows, quotes, and supernaturals he'd seen. Sousuke paid attention and it clearly paid off.

He had one of the highest marks in their class. Not exactly honors student but enough to gloat. Which he always did, another quality Kou seemed to "sadly" adore. Kou laid his head down and smiled. He knew Sousuke was his everything, regardless of the fact that he refused to ever admit it out loud.

Sousuke hated the idea of having mushy feelings, except for his mom and kou. Two people who helped him get his life together. Although with Kou, he always wanted to make sure he was okay. Sousuke knew that Kou constantly overwhelmed himself with training just for his dad to be able to look at him without any backhand comments.

Actually, Kou liked to drown himself out with any kind of work. He liked escaping reality and it worried Sousuke, but what Sousuke really feared was that it would lead to Kou doing stupid things and get himself hurt.

"Minamoto-kuuuuunn" Sousuke practically cried out. "I'm not gonna sit with you during lunch if this is all you're doing. Sitting and spacing out!!" He huffed. "Sorry, Sousuke.." Kou said softly. "I'm just a little out of it right now." He said with a humble chuckle.

"Sure you are.. you're probably just daydreaming about me since you're with such a cutie!" Sousuke said accusingly. "What a weirdo" he muttered with his hand over his mouth as if he were in shock.

"Don't take me out of context!" The blondie said in response. Kou sighed. "You're just a pain!" Kou added.
