It has been Twenty-five minutes and fifty-five seconds since my mom interrupted mine and Artemis's moment in her room and I've been sitting in this damn stupid blue chair in my moms office while am looking at her like I wanna rip her head off.
"If you wanted to stay and talk with her you could have" she glared at me.
"Artemis was tired and I didn't wanna force her to stay up"
"Why are you sleeping in different rooms anyway"
I knew I couldn't avoid this question forever but I sure in hell liked to try.
"What is this about" she rolled her eyes.
"This is about the event that the Wilde's are throwing"
"Right" Jeremy and Jennifer Wilde the Alpha and Luna of Blackpaw pack, they made a treaty with my father decades ago, they threw this event every year for all packs in Rome to keep the 'peace' but we haven't attend the event since my father died. They had a rule that every high powerful pack agreeged to, which was Alpha and Luna's only which also allowed the Beta to go.
"It's been years and it will be good to keep appearance's now that your" she cut off and got up from her seat and walked to me. "Your Luna is here and we need to be the top family again like it was" she sat down on the table.
"Which means the wedding will take place and she will be marked" My mother wasn't dumb, she had her suspicions about Artemis being my mate but she was also smart enough to not call me out on it. I knew what she was doing and I wasn't gonna take the bait. "Right where she will finally be my luna since she is my mate" my tone grew louder at the end.
"Of course cause she is, I mean it would destroy our family name if she wasn't and you married for the power" She gave a smirk,She was good but I was better "But we both know your father and I didn't raise you to do anything that would jeopardize our family name"
"Exactly, couldn't have said it better myself" I got up, I needed to get the hell out of here, I walked to the door but than she said something once again that stopped me in my tracks. "It's a shame your sleeping in different rooms, because while she's going through her heat, now would be the perfect time to start thinking about pups" Did she really just say that.

"Don't you think it's a little too early to think about kids" I turned.
"Why would it, you marry, you mark and start your family, it's always been that way"
"Yes but we haven't even got married yet"
"I know which is why the wedding is gonna get pushed to weeks if you don't tell me when the wedding is"
"We're dealing with stuff"
"More important than your pack"
"Of course not"
"Than why are delaying your wedding"
"A-" I underestimated her, she was really good, no matter how bad I didn't wanna lose this fight with her anything else I say would qestion eveything and she would be right. I worked to damn hard for this.
"Look Artemis has to figure out some family stuff okay, than after that we will have the wedding"
"So there will be a wedding"
"Yes why wouldn't there be a wedding" We both looked at each other, I wasn't gonna give in to her bait.
"Alright, you guys have two months to figure it out and get married before the event"
"Sounds good" I twisted the door nob and once again she didn't let me have the last word.
"Cyrus stop making the poor girl sleep alone, she's probably scared of being in a new place and am pretty sure she would want your company" Why did my father have to have a mate like him.
"Of course, it was already in the plan" I walked out before she got another word in.
I was gonna kill someone if she dosen't stop with her stupid plan, or whatever she was doing . I walked to my door and opened it but before I walked in I heard a door open, I looked towards it and my mom looked at me while clearing her thraot and looking at Artemis's door. Oh for fuck sake's woman stop meddling in my life I rolled my eyes and took a deep breath, I walked to her door and placed a gentle knock on the door while looking at Kayla. I knocked again when there wasn't an answer. Come on Artemis don't answer the door, but of course the universe hated me and I heard the door open.

"Yes" I was now looking at view that I didn't know I needed. She was wearing black slik shorts high enough to cover her ass but short enough to see her inner thighs, her deep red tank top with thinner straps I've ever seen in my life, the low neck cut didn't help with all the thoughts invading my mind.
"Come to bed with me darling" I said just loud enough so my mom could hear.
She looked at me with shock, I gently nodded my head to my mother and her gaze followed.
"Okay love" she said in the excat tone I used just a few seconds ago.
She shut the door and I lead her to my room.
