"Go that way!" Ava yelled while laughing "that's where I'm trying to go!" I laughed. We were playing a team game while canoeing in the lake, Ava was my teammate "No!" Jess yelled out as I scooped the ball out of the water. It was a game the camp leaders must've made up. It was kinda like basketball but we were in canoes and the aim was whoever got the ball to Nick or Demi got a point, they were also canoeing around the lake.

"Nick!" I called out as he was the closet to me. I tossed the ball to him and he caught it "ayyy!" Everyone cheered as I scored us a point and Nick threw the ball back into the middle of the lake.

Everyone paddled towards the ball, it got really crowded and my canoe crashed against someone else's and I felt a blunt force to the back of my head "ow" I cried out immediately putting my hand where the pain was coming from "omg! Hayley I'm so sorry it was an accident!" Maddie cried out. Amongst the chaos she had accidentally hit me in the back of the head with her paddle "it's fine" I grunted trying to act like it didn't hurt, but it did "Are you okay?" Demi asked coming over concerned "it really hurts" I cried rubbing the back of my head "I'm so sorry" Maddie apologised again. Demi seemed concerned as she grabbed the front of my canoe and pushed it to the shore with her canoe.

We jumped out and I quickly took my life jacket off "Is she okay?" Admira asked paddling over also concerned "she'll be okay" Demi responded taking her life jacket off "I'm so sorry!" Maddie said again "it's okay" I smiled at her but she could clearly see I was crying and in a lot of pain, but I could also tell she felt really bad.

Admira jumped out of her canoe to come and check on me "it's okay, stay with everyone else" I said to her not wanting her to miss out because I had an injury "come on, let's go back to the lobby so I can check you out" Demi said grabbing my hand and pulling me towards the lobby "Demi slow down I'm ok" I cried. She seemed really worried which kind of made me worry a little bit to.

"Ok sit down" Demi instructed as we walked into the lobby. I looked up and opened my eyes for the first time because the light outside was hurting my head, but the person I saw sitting at the table hurt my head more "why is she here?" I asked "don't worry about her and go sit down" Demi repeated. I sat down on the couch and rubbed the back of my head, it had gone a little numb. Besides the splitting headache I now had.

Demi came and sat next to me with a first aid kit "turn around" she said gently. She parted my hair and checked to make sure there was no open wound from the impact "you have a bit of a bump" she said quietly "does it still really hurt?" She asked. I nodded and my eyes filled with tears "here, take 2 of these. There just pain killers they should help" she said passing me 2 and a cup of water. I took the pills and drank some water "thanks" I whispered closing my eyes and laying down "don't fall asleep, you need to stay awake" she ordered "why?" I groaned wanting to sleep the pain away "it's not good to fall asleep after a head injury"  "why?" "I dont know, it's basic medical knowledge. Just stay awake" I groaned again in pain "the tablets should help soon" Demi said rubbing my arm to comfort me.

I looked behind her and noticed Kirra staring darts into me, she was jealous of the attention Demi was giving me. I figured she didn't join in on the water activities because she gets motion sickness pretty bad. Not that I cared.

"Demi. I'm feeling a little sick as well" she cried out putting her hand on her stomach "oh where hunny?" Demi asked turning to face her "I think I might be getting sick" she groaned. I got annoyed as Demi got up and went over to her "do you think it's the flu? Or just a cold?" Demi asked putting her hand on Kirra's forehead to see if she had a temperature. I knew she was faking. I rolled my eyes and laid down, trying not to fall asleep as Demi had told me.
