CHAPTER ONEI looked around, we were back in the Academy, it wasn't destroyed like how we left it four years ago.
"What year is it?"
"April 2nd, 2019." Five read aloud from the newspaper on the table, "day after the Apocalypse."
"Wait, so we stopped it." Allison stated, we were all surprised we had done it.
"My God, it's over?" Vanya asked.
"Did we...actually succeed at something?" Klaus whimpered. "That's incredible!"
We were all relieved this was over. We didn't have to worry about the world ending or having to save lives. Maybe we could live a normal one, as normal as a Hargreeves could live.
"I don't know about you guys, but I need a drink. Actually, I need several." Klaus rejoiced, hugging Vanya.
"Count me in," I chimed, relieved we had stopped the apocalypse.
"I should go find Claire." Allison had started walking away before Luther grabbed her arm.
"One drink."
We all went towards the lounge area, Klaus had already begun grabbing glasses to celebrate. I followed behind Vanya, looking around the room. I looked up to where Diego was looking, noticing a painting of Ben instead of Five over the mantelpiece. What?
"Why is there a painting of Ben over the mantelpiece?" Diego asked, grabbing the attention of our remaining siblings.
"Wasn't Five's painting up there before...?" I muttered loud enough for the people in the room.
"I knew you'd show up eventually." Our father appeared in front of the fireplace.
"Dad," Diego stated.
"You're alive." Luther whispered.
Dad looked towards Luther with a confused expression, "why shouldn't I be?"
"Yeah, yeah, you're right. I'm just happy that we're home and together again." Luther replied sheepishly, stumbling over his words a bit.
"Home? This isn't your home." Dad replied. What is he even talking about?
"What are you talking about?" Allison spoke, taking the words right out of my mouth. "This is the Umbrella Academy."
"Wrong again. This is the Sparrow Academy." He revealed, footsteps rapidly approaching from behind us.
As if on cue, three girls, two boys, and a cube appeared on the banister, all dressed in maroon versions of our old uniforms. How did he manage to adopt a...cube?
"Dad, who the hell are these assholes?" Our attention was brought to someone in front of us. Ben. He looked like my Ben, but he wasn't him. His hairstyle was more messy rather than the neat, slicked back look our Ben always kept and he had a scar below his eye. Looking at him brought back so many memories I didn't want to remember.
I let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding, "shit," we all muttered in unison.
"Ben." Klaus muttered, astonished to see him.
"Is that really you?" Luther took a step towards him. Ben gave him a confused, yet cold look. He doesn't know us.
"And who are the weirdos on the balcony?" Diego yelled, ready to kill all of them.
"They are the Sparrows." Dad spoke from behind us. "My children."
"I'm sorry. What do you mean, your children?" Five spoke. "That's not possible, old man."
