"Things that seem unimaginable are sometimes possible."
Mingyu P.O.V
Joshua and DK never asked why I slept in their room. They just invited me in with smiles on their faces. The tension between them seemed to have eased a bit. I wondered if DK finally told him. I guess I wouldn't know even if he had, though. DK was always clingy toward Joshua. It was no surprise that DK offered me his bed and slept with Joshua. They were cute. I wish I'd had that with Wonwoo. Maybe I would have if I'd just told him the truth before he died. Unfortunately, I was too much of a coward then. Maybe now I could, but I was completely different, and Wonwoo was aware of it. He didn't know how or why but he knew I wasn't the same guy from 9 years ago. My suspicion was proven correct when I woke up the next day and was told that I was going to the doctor. No one had given me a choice. Wonwoo sighed beside me. We were going on hour 3 of tests and they hadn't found anything yet.
"I really don't get it. Everything seems to be fine with you." I rolled my eyes.
"I told you. There is nothing wrong with me."
"Why are you acting so different then?" I turned away and closed my eyes.
"I don't know. I just woke up yesterday and started to realize things."
"Why kind of things?" I turned back to him.
"The kind of things that I can't say in public and definitely not in a hospital."
"What is that supposed to mean?" I sighed.
"Listen, before I tell you anything, I need to sort out my own head."
"You're not my Mingyu are you?" I didn't even know how to respond to that. I hadn't told him anything. He couldn't know that I had possessed the old Mingyu's body. I had concluded that I had traveled into that past and if that was the case, I had to tread lightly. Any little thing could set off a chain of reactions. If I ever did go back to my time, I needed to ensure it didn't change too much. I had already done enough by having that talk with DK. Who knew how much the future had changed just from that?
"I don't know what you're talking about. I'm clearly Mingyu." He frowned.
"Maybe, but not mine. My Mingyu still has the essence of a child. You speak and think like you're in your late 20s."
"You're crazy. Like actually." He looked around and then turned back to me.
"I've been in love with you long enough to know something like that. Who the hell are you?"
"You know, the fact that you believe I'm someone else tells me that we should get you tested too."
"Are you calling me crazy?"
"What else could it be? It would actually be impossible to time travel or whatever you're thinking happened." It wasn't impossible but he didn't have to know that.
"You're not my person." My blood began to boil. I stood and huffed.
"I am your person. I'm just a different version of your person."
"Well, I want the other version back."
"Believe me, I would like nothing more than to do that for you but I can't. I'm sorry. Now I'm going home. See you later." I didn't go home. I went for a run. By the time I was done, I'd already had 7 missed calls and 20 texts. I sighed before calling back the only person that mattered. I heard a sigh on the other end.
"Where the hell are you?" Seungcheol's voice rang loudly. I sighed.
"I just went for a run."
