Inevitably, we are in charge of our own fate. Every decision we make can and will always have consequences.

Mingyu P.O.V

I winced at the noises around me. They were too loud. I tried to tell them to be quiet but the words wouldn't come out. Suddenly, the noises stopped. I opened my eyes but closed them again. Where was I? Why was it so bright? After a few more seconds, I opened my eyes again before turning my head to avoid the light.

"H-Hyung." His hand quickly found mine and he squeezed it lightly. I smiled.

"Do you want some water, love?" I nodded. He stood up and got some water before going back to his spot beside me. "Drink it slowly." I nodded again.

"Mingyu, are you okay?" I turned my head the other side and saw Minjae occupying the other chair.

"Yes, if you consider excruciating back pain and bruised ribs okay." He chuckled. He glimpsed to the foot of my bed and smiled.

"He's definitely okay." I looked in the same direction and to my surprise, all of the guys were there.

"What happened?" It was Seungcheol that answered.

"You got in a little car accident on the way back from dinner with Minjae Hyung. Do you remember anything?" I remembered the car accident but... I tried to sit up. Wonwoo and Minjae immediately came to my aid. How was it possible? Had it really not been a dream? Or was everyone dying the dream in the first place? I was so confused. Minjae sighed before turning to the guys.

"Can ya'll give me a few moments with Mingyu?" Everyone nodded and left. Wonwoo hesitated but after a moment, he left too. He turned back to me. "Are you really okay?" I looked away.

"I'm not sure."

"What do you mean?" I turned back to face him.

"I mean, I'm not sure what's real and what's fake anymore."

"Well, you were in a coma for 3 months. I can assume that reality and dreamland is a mixture of fog for you right now." I grabbed his hand.

"What happened that day?" He raised a brow.

"What day?"

"The day the company was bombed." His eyes widened.

"When did that happen? I can't recall." It really had been just a dream. They had never died to began with? It seems I had been right. I had actually had a mental breakdown.

"Never mind. I guess I just had some really vivid dreams." He nodded.

"The doctor said that's common." He stood up and walked to the other side of the room. I raised a brow. He was limping.

"Hyung?" He turned back to me. "How did you get that limp?" He frowned.

"You don't remember?" I shook my head. He sighed.

"While we were trainees, there was a fire in the basement. You got trapped in one of the practice rooms. While I was trying to get you out, a support beam collapsed and fell onto my leg. Wonwoo ended getting us both out. I tried physical therapy but there was too much damage to the nerves. I've been limping every since." I sighed. He never got to be an idol anyway.

"When did it happen?" He hummed.

"I think it was around three months after you guys debuted." Oh.

"I'm sorry." He shook his head.

"Don't be. All decisions have consequences. I chose to help and I got hurt in the process. That's life. It was meant to be and I wouldn't change it for the world. You're alive. That's what matters to me." I reached out my hand. He grabbed it and squeezed it.

"Hyung, I love you." A smile appeared on his face.

"I love you too, kiddo." A part of me was finally at ease but I couldn't stop thinking about my dreams. How could it all be fake? It was too vivid.

"I think I should see a doctor." He chuckled.

"We're at the hospital." I shook my head.

"I mean a therapist." He raised a brow.

"Why?"

"I just need to talk through some things." He sighed.

"Okay. I'll make an appointment."
