"Family doesn't end in blood."

Mingyu P.O.V

Out of all people, he told the one person that didn't need to know. I wasn't exactly happy to find out. I'd told Wonwoo how badly it affected Minjae and he went and told him anyway. I didn't know whether to kiss the guy or slap him. I sighed as the three of us sat in silence. Wonwoo wouldn't look at me because he knew he was in trouble and Minjae wouldn't look at me either. He was still in shock. I couldn't blame him though. Wonwoo had taken it a lot better than a normal person. But at the same time, he had never once wavered at my words. That had been his downfall too. If he had refused to leave like I told him to that day, he would have still been alive. The others would have too. They would have ignored my request and stayed. I had forced them to go. That was why they died. At least, that's what I believed anyway.

"Let me try to understand this." Minjae finally broke the silence. Wonwoo and I hummed. "You're in heart failure?"

"Yes."

"But you'll live through it and get a transplant?" I hummed again. He directed his attention to Wonwoo. "And you guys are going to die in an incident that will kill everyone in the company except Mingyu and I?"

"Pretty much." He sighed.

"But how is it possible?" Wonwoo huffed.

"Hyung, you've asked that several times and I answered every time."

I sighed and slid next to Minjae on the couch. I leaned in and pressed my lips to his ear, explaining how I ended up in the past. I felt his body tense. When I moved away, his eyes were closed.

"Mingyu." I smiled before shaking my head.

"Don't worry about it. I'm sure you're right beside me nagging." He chuckled.

"Sounds like me."

"Don't worry though. Obviously, I'm alive. I'm just in a different time."

"What exactly do you need from me." I turned to him and glimpsed down at his knee.

"I hope you know that if you keep dancing, you will lose all of the mobility in your leg. Well, that's a lie but you definitely won't be able to dance ever again." He raised a brow.

"How did you know?"

"I know everything that will happen. Take a break. Go to physical therapy like your doctor told you to. Seriously. I hate seeing you miserable." He rubbed his knee for a moment before sighing.

"Fine, I get it. You're from the future. Now, what do you need me to do?"

"Promise me." He could tell by the look on my face that I was serious.

"Okay. I promise. Why do you care so much anyway?" I smiled.

"Like I said, I hate seeing you miserable. Also, I love you. You're like a big brother to me. I don't want to watch you derail all over again. It's not worth it. I know you think it's as simple as bearing through the pain but I promise you'll regret it. Trust me."

"I promise I'll take a break and go to physical therapy." I smiled again.

"Thank you." Piece by piece, I was changing things. I was changing people and their lives. I began to believe that was the reason why I was sent back. I wanted to as well. Even if that meant my world getting destroyed, I was glad. I was content. It was no longer about myself or Wonwoo. It was about saving everyone I loved. The day was approaching. It was time to get to work.

"So?" Wonwoo asked.

"We need to stir up as much chaos as we can. We need the company to be in complete dismay. Minjae Hyung, I need to ask you for a favor and you can't ask questions." He nodded. "I don't think we'll be able to find the individual who did it which means we have to make sure everyone is out of building when it happens." After that conversation, we put the plan into action. Before we knew it, the day had come. This time around I forced myself to get out of bed and go to the company. No matter how sick I was, I had to be with the guys. If our plan didn't work, at least I would go done with them. I was sitting in the practice room when an anxious Minjae walked through the door.

"Is it almost time?" I nodded.

"Yes. Are you ready?" He nodded. "Is Wonwoo Hyung ready?" He nodded. There was one thing I had kept to myself through all that time but I had to tell Minjae in that moment. I didn't know if it would affect the outcome but I could hope.

"Hyung, no matter what, don't try to save me today." He raised a brow. "Don't try to save anyone. Just get out."

"Why?" I looked away, unable to face him.

"Because if you don't, no amount of physical therapy will be able to make you dance again. I don't want to relive that either."

"Mingyu?" I turned back to him.

"Promise me that you will just run and not think about anything else."

"Mingyu."

"Promise me."

"I can't." I got the signal from Wonwoo then. I sighed.

"Hyung." I grabbed his hand. "Don't get hurt for my sake." I jumped at the sound of the fire alarm blaring. He laced our fingers together before taking off with me following suit. I wouldn't see Wonwoo until everything was over so all I could do was pray. We got out of the building fast and it wasn't long before others ran out too. One by one, I saw my members get out. I checked my watch and frowned at the time. Everyone was out except Wonwoo. Before Minjae even had a chance to stop me, I ran back into the building. I knew exactly where Wonwoo would be so I ran until I couldn't anymore. I slammed the door open.

"Hyung, what the hell? We need to get out. Now." He shook his head.

"I'm not leaving until this thing is disarmed." I grabbed his wrist and forced him to look at me.

"Listen, I know you want to be the hero and I love you for that but a building can be rebuilt. We can come back to life. I'm not losing you again. Get your ass up and get the hell out of here with me." He turned back to the bomb and stared for a second before grabbing my hand and running.

We never did make it out before the bomb went off.

All I remembered was that he was lying beside me and his hand was warmer than I ever thought possible.
