After I set up a little date for me and Honesty I drove back to the crib.

"It feels so good to be out of that place." Amber sighed from the passenger seat

"Yeah you were in there what 3 days?"

"Yeah 3 days of hell." She scoffed

"I got in contact with Green Acres and you can start treatment tonight." I eased in

"Don't say treatment as if it's some disease." She chastised

"I meant treatment as in illness." I specified

"We're going home?" She asked as I pulled into the driveway

"Yeah I figured I would let you pack your own belongings and then drive you over there."

I hopped out and walked over to her side of the car to open her door.

"I missed being home." She sighed taking it all in.

While she packed her things I sat on the bed in our master bedroom. I figured I would make sure everything is set up for tonight. I quickly snatched my phone out of my pocket sending Honesty a quick text.

"Everything good for tonight?"

"Yeah everything is good, but I have an event I need to be at so I won't be able to stay long."

"What time is your event?"

"10."

"I quickly checked the time seeing it was a little past 2."

"We should be good on time, you need me to drop you off?"

"Would you please?"

"Of course. If not I wouldn't have asked."

I quickly spun around when I heard Amber behind me.

"Who are you texting?" She questioned

"Uh Kevin he was just checking in. Making sure you're ok." I quickly recovered

"He was at the hospital?" She moved around the room gathering her things

"Yeah he came up just before you were released he helped me look over the pamphlets." I stuffed my phone back into my pocket. I felt it vibrate but I wouldn't dare take it back out.

"You really think this Green Acres place is the right choice." She stood in front of me with a worried expression on her face.

"Yes I do. The rest of those places looked like prisons if you ask me, and with this place you're free to roam around you won't be confide into a room." I explained

She sighed.

"You're going to be fine, everything is going to be ok I'm gonna be here every step of the way I'm not going anywhere." I reassured her

"Promise?"

"Promise." I sealed it with a quick peak on her lips

"Well let's get going then."

I grabbed her bag and followed her down the staircase. She stopped in the foyer.

"What's wrong?"

"Can I take a picture of her with me?"

"Amber she was your daughter too you don't have to ask me." I gave her a small smile

I chuckled shaking my head watching her quickly jog into the living room towards the photo albums.
