"Aki..."
you breathed in shock,
your voice barely above a whisper as you turned to face the man who had once been your protector.

You couldn't help but notice he now wore an eyepatch, a clear sign something had happened to him in the months since you'd fled.

Something about him seemed off, harder and more determined.

"That prick just had to send
you, didn't he?"
your lips twitched into a scowl as you stared at Aki.

Your blood boiled in fury, a mix of fear and anger surging through your veins as you realized he had found you yet again.
The thought of being dragged back to Mikey was unbearable.

"You know how he is,"
Aki responded, his tone flat but with an undercurrent of weariness.
"He won't stop until he gets what he wants."

"He's not getting me,"
you spat, your resolve hardening.

"Not again."

Aki's remaining eye flickered with something unreadable.
"You know I don't have a choice.
I have my orders."

"You always have a choice,"
you snapped, your anger bubbling over.

"You don't have to do this.
You were supposed to protect me!"

Aki's jaw tightened, a muscle twitching as he looked at you.
"And this is me protecting you. Mikey won't just give up. Running only makes him more determined."

You took a deep breath, trying to steady the rage and fear threatening to overwhelm you.

"Then let me go, Aki. Let me and my baby have a chance at a normal life."

For a moment, Aki seemed to hesitate, his eye softening. But then he shook his head, his expression hardening once more.

"I can't do that."

"Why?"
you demanded, your voice rising.

"Why are you so loyal to him? He doesn't care about anyone but himself."

"You don't understand,"
Aki replied, his tone clipped.
"It's not that simple."

"Make it simple,"
you countered, stepping closer, your hands clenched into fists at your sides.

"You don't have to do this...."

Aki's gaze dropped for a moment, as if considering your words.
Then he looked back at you, his expression resolute.

"I can't. And I won't. You're coming
with me, whether you like it or not."

"No,"
you said, your voice trembling with fury.
"I'm not going back. Not ever!"

With that, you made a move to push past him, but Aki was ready.
He grabbed your arm again, pulling you back with a strength that took your breath away.

"Don't make this harder
than it has to be,"
he warned, his voice
low and dangerous.

"I won't go back," you repeated, struggling against his grip.
"I won't let him control me or my child."
