Y/n's POV
"Girl pleaseeeeee I'm begging you. You know you wanna come. You love basketball so I don't even know why you doing this. And this a once in a life time opportunity."
Cameron was begging me to go to our cities basketball this weekend. I love basketball and I always have. I really do wanna go but I don't even know if anyone can even watch Azareah for me.
"Girl you know I want to but I'd have to find someone to watch Azzy and everyone I know might have plans."
Cameron gave me a 'girl please' look and I gave in. "Ok ok I'll see tho. I'll ask my mom or sister if they could watch her for me."
"Oh my gosh period. Yassssss I love youuuuu." She squealed, squeezing me into a hug.
I playfully rolled me eyes and patted her arm. "Ok now. And how did you get these tickets again?" I asked wanting to be sure we weren't getting played. She told me she got two court side tickets for free.
"Remember my cousin who plays for the sparks. Kia Nurse. (I love her)
She got me tickets for my birthday. Perks of having a famous cousin." Cameron nudged my shoulder.
"Wait isn't her teammates name Cameron to?" Remember when she said I loved basketball. It's true I love both men's and women's though I tend to watch women's basketball more; only watching the men's when my favorite teams are playing.
"Yea Cameron Brink. I actually met her before she's cool."
"Mm ok then." I nodded.
We soon had to cut the shit and get back to work. Today was busy as hell. Like there was over 50 people in here at one time. Plus our boss wanted us to work over time.
Me and Cam barely made it out alive. For the way we worked today we better be getting a good amount of money.
TIME SKIPPP
I clocked out of work and gathered my belongings from the back. I walked to the front and waited for Cam. She then walked to where I was standing.
We waved our boss goodnight before exiting the cafe. "Bye Cam I'll see you Friday and let you know if I can find someone to watch Azzy." I said stopping front of my car. She gave me a hug, "Okay see you girl." We parted our ways, Cameron walking towards her car and me getting into mine. I made sure she got to her car safely before pulling off.
I let my parents know that I was coming to get Azzy.
I pulled up into their driveway and was surprised to see my sister's car there also. I walked up to the front door, knocking on it. My sister opened the door with a smile on her face. "Hey Pooh." She pulled me into a tight hug before I pulled away. "Hi babes."
"Come on momma and daddy are just watching tv with the kids." She moved aside, letting me walk into the house. I heard her shut the front door and follow behind me. I walked into the living room seeing Azzy and her cousins. It was nice to see all of them together. My niece looked over at me, instantly running over.
"Auntie Y/n." Noella screamed, hugging my legs. "Hi baby I missed you." I bent down and kissed her forhead. Just as I stood up Azzy came running over.
"Mommy!" Azareah yelled before leaping into my arms. I held her on my hip as she told me about her day. I then strolled over to my parents. "Hey guys. Whatcha doing?"
My mom lifted her head up."Nothing just watching this television. You know it's a good thing you're here cause I've been meaning to tell you this." My nephew suddenly jumped into my mom's lap making her grunt a little. He twisted his head towards me and waved. I waved back before my mom spoke up again.
"We're taking the kids out to the zoo this weekend and we want them to stay the night." I let out a breathe of relief. "Thank youcause I was just boutta ask if y'all could watch her this weekend."
My dad twisted his face up,"And where you going?" I chuckled, replying to question, "I'm going to a basketball game with Cam."
He nodded, continuing to watch the show on tv. "Okay well it's time for us to go home. Come on Ella and Naiel." The two twins then walked over to my sister and put on their jackets. "Bye momma. Bye daddy. Say bye guys."
We told them goodbye before they headed out the door. "Welp that's my cue. Bye I'll drop her off Friday. Thanks for watching her." Azzy and I told my parents goodbye before we headed out the door. I buckled Azzy in and we headed home.
Time Skip
I placed Azzy in her bed, giving her good nights kiss. Entering my room, I turned on my led lights and hopped in bed. I reached for my computer and starting my research. It had been about an hour of me searching preschools for Azzy to go to when I found one that really caught my eye. It was close and the paying requirement wasn't too much.
I made sure to keep that tab open and take a picture of the website just in case before letting my head hit the pillow. I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.
