Y/n's POV
"Alright, bye baby. Be good for grandma and grandpa." I said to Azareah. "Okay bye mommy." I waved goodbye to my parents, hopping into my car.
I arrived at work, clocking in, saying hello to my boss.
"Sooo, guess what." I cheered. Cameron looked me, "What. You finally got laid." She smiled. I rolled my eyes, "Nooo, I signed Azzy up for preschool." Camerons mouth dropped. "Aww TT baby going to school!" Cameron launched onto me, wrapping her arms around me.
"I know. My babies all grown up."
"So is she excited?" I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't know I haven't told her yet." Cam nodded, picking up her iced coffee, "Okay Okay. I can't wait to see her first day of school outfit."
My heart jumped at the thought of Azzy going to school with a little back pack. "Aww I know."
Cam and I took orders from people. Today was going good so far. It wasn't too busy or too slow.
"Oh guess what!"
I dropped the rag towel. "What?" Cameron's lips turned into a smile. "I graduate from school next week." I let out a low shriek. "Cameron I'm so proud of you." Ever since I met Cameron she's been wanting to do hair for forever.
She's been going to school and working here to pay off her school fee's. To see her achieve her dream really makes me happy. "Thx. And I already got a job offer, so I don't 'gotta work here anymore."
Her smile suddenly dropped, "But that means we won't be working together anymore." I placed my hands onto her shoulders. "It's cool. I'm not going to be working here for that much longer either. I've decided to go back to school and get my degree."
"No. For real?" She beamed. I nodded my head, turning back towards the counter. I opened the bottom cabinet, scooping some ice into a cup. I placed some of the ice into my mouth, chewing on it. "Yea Jelyssa said I should go back and get it."
Cameron damn near broke her neck, "Excuse me, did you just say Jelyssa ?" I chuckled "Yes. We hung out at the park the other day for the kids. Azzy has a play date with her son this weekend."
Cameron squinted her eyes at me, "You've been getting close with Jelyssa lately. First the movies, then the follow, and now y'all are hanging out. I say friends to lovers." She said. I hummed, "Mmm I don't think so but okay. And we only hang out for the kids."
