18. FRAGMENTS OF FRIENDSHIP: ASSASSINATION MISSION

"Why you......!!!" Taehyung growled before running towards the two. Jimin and Jennie caught him but that didn't stop Jungkook. He came towards them before throwing a punch on their faces.

Xander accepted the punch on his own and Hobi did the same. They were in pain too after knowing what happened to them and the friendship they held dear to their heart.

"How can you show your face again?!?" Jungkook fumed in anger. None of them spoke. Luna's eyes held tears. She imagined the same impression on them if she reveals herself. She didn't want this treatment, like a stranger.

"Please listen to us!!" Xander said falling to his knees. He was crying which caught them off-guard. But still they didn't want to believe any nonsense.

"Luna why did you bring them here?" Natasha asked with a red eyes. Luna observed and smiled to herself that the only friend she had carries the same fate as them.

"The HQ is on attack!!" Hobi said.

"What?" Rosé asked with a weak voice and Luna nodded. "He is here to help find an antidote for William." Luna said and that's the last thing she spoke.

"We don't need that!! Who knows you will poison him!!" Jennie said.

"Please, it's not our fault. It's Alisha who planned everything from the beginning!!" Hobi pleaded in explanation while Jungkook scoffed and that's when William came with slow steps.

"She used a forbidden spell, Soul Dominion!!" Xander said still on his knees. They looked at eachother not knowing if they should believe. Hobi sighed and massaged his forehead to prevent tears flooding down.

"It's Alisha, she extracted the soul from James Abiba. I figured out that Xander was put in a spell and tried to help him but I was caught. I was out in a cell and tortured. I knew something would happen next. I even sent a letter to Liana but seems like it never reached"

His voice cracked but he took a deep breathe and spoke before gulping.

"That day it was Liana who faught against Xander and Alisha. They tried to kill her, Xander was controlled at that point. It wasn't her mistake at all."

"And.....the reason why I tried to kill her was because, I was ordered to. I was in a deep slumber for more than five years but all the memories are still there as if I did that. Liana isn't dead and she isn't the culprit, she was a victim herself."

Xander explained and a small tear ran down Liana's face listening all of the hell she went through.

"Please, it's none of us. We were all victims of Alisha. She was behind all of these." Hobi pleaded.

"How could a sister kill her own sister?" Jennie asked.

"It's her stepsister!!" Natasha said finally realising. She felt stupid. Liana's expression showed so much pain but the mask prevented every emotion of her to be seen.

"But-"

"It's true..... Jungkook don't complain further. Now I understand." Jimin said and looked at Jennie and William. They nodded indicating they understood too.

"James was last seen with Alisha and the reports came which said that someone used a forbidden spell and that caused the sudden isolation of training!!" Jimin explained.

"Damn!!" Jungkook cursed himself for failing again and again, atleast that's what he believes. Taehyung stood with tears in his eyes as he truly believed that Liana would have done nothing like this and the tears were from happiness.

"Did you meet her?" Taehyung asked for which Xander and Hobi went silent. Luna looked at the two afraid that they would spill the truth out.

"We did!!" Xander said which made her shocked. She didn't expect this, she told them not to say but here they are spilling out the truth one by one.
