"What did you want to talk about?" Luna asked with calm demeanor. Jennie gulped before speaking.
"I wanted to let you know that, my brother's are still in the kingdom so, how about recruiting them too?" She asked.
"That's not possible. There must be someone to protect the kingdom don't you think?" Luna questioned and Jennie hanged her head low not able to answer her question.
"I understand!!" Saying this Jennie left Luna.
Luna sighed watching her leave. Somewhere in her heart told her to stop Jennie and tell her that she is not just someone but more than the person they knew as Luna Nightshroud.
"I'm going nuts!!" She said turning her heels.
When she was about to leave a figure stood infront causing her to hault her steps. She frowned looking at him. He was all sweaty and was panting heavily. She was about to speak but he spoke first.
"Go away!!" He said almost like a whisper.
"Abbysal you are-"
"Just go!!" He said but Luna didn't move a muscle. He sighed and passed through her, followed by him came Stormrider. By now she got what happened.
"You made him drink again?!" She asked almost in a pissed tone.
"I didn't!! He asked for it!!" Stormrider said stumbling upon his steps and getting into his room. Luna frowned and looked over at Abbysal's room. She thought for a second and decided to go.
She made her way through the dimly lit corridors of their headquarters, her mind racing with worry about what could have driven him to such an uncharacteristic state.
Reaching Abbysal's room, Luna hesitated for a moment before gently knocking on the door. When there was no response, she pushed it open slightly, peering inside. The room was softly lit by the glow of a few candles, casting flickering shadows on the walls. Abbysal sat slouched in a chair by the window, a half-empty bottle of wine on the table beside him.
"Abbysal?" Luna called softly as she stepped into the room.
He looked up, his eyes bleary but filled with a surprising warmth as he saw her. "Luna... you came."
She closed the door behind her, moving closer with a mixture of caution and concern. "I was worried about you. You never drink alone. What's going on?"
Abbysal let out a heavy sigh, running a hand through his tousled hair. "It's been... a lot lately. The battles, the responsibilities... everything."
Luna sat down across from him, her gaze gentle and understanding. "You don't have to face it alone, you know. We're all here for you."
He reached for the bottle, but Luna gently took it from his hand, setting it aside. "Maybe that's enough for tonight."
Abbysal's eyes locked onto hers, a depth of emotion in them that she hadn't seen before. "Thank you, Luna. You always know what to say."
She smiled softly, her heart aching for him. "That's what friends are for."
A silence settled between them, not uncomfortable, but charged with unspoken feelings. Abbysal leaned forward slightly, his gaze never leaving hers. "Luna, there's something I need to tell you."
Her breath caught in her throat as he reached out, taking her hand in his. His touch was warm and firm, sending a shiver up her spine. "What is it, Abbysal?"
"I've been holding back for so long," he began, his voice husky with emotion. "I thought it was best to stay focused, to keep my distance. But I can't deny it anymore."
