Y/n's pov

"So that's how you came? No wonder you got here: As nii-sama always says, you are the only UR+ character here." Ortho was leading us while holding my hand. I had finished explaining our journey here but kept an eye around, analyzing every single detail and listening. I'm not planning on staying here for long: Get Grim, get the boys, get Kristal then leave.

"I just do my best at all times, that's how I became so good." I smiled down at him.

"... You two seem really close, really like two brothers." Epel commented.

"Of course. I've trusted Y/n ever since I saw them. I now consider them as much my big brother as Idia." Ortho exclaimed.

"Oh?~ Then does Idia consider Y/n as a brother as well?" Rook asked.

'I already know the answer to this question...'

"Uh... Ah! We're here." Ortho opened a door and lead them in, avoiding the question "Anyway, I should probably get back to HQ now. I've scheduled your lunch and dinner for 12:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. respectively. If you wish to change your dining schedule, please use the intercom by the door to call a technician. Just speak to the screen to activate the virtual assistant. We've got lots of games and movies too. Feel free to browse them if you get bored."

Epel's eyes sparkled as he looked at the screen "Whoa, cool! This movie list's huge, and it's got a bunch of new releases on it."

I hum and look around "Already seen and played each one of these."

"What?!" Epel exclaimed "How?"

"Y/n and Idia often spend movie nights and play nights together." Ortho smiled.

"How come we never watched a movie together?" 'Is this... jealousy?'

I rub my chin then smile "Well, you never asked me out on a date, apple of my eye~ Is this your way of doing it?~"

Epel blushed "Don't play with me!"

I chuckled, feeling Ortho's curious eyes on us before he turned away "Just sit tight until we've finished with everyone's examinations."

'... Something's not right somehow...'

There were still Charons posted in front of the door, certainly to ensure I wouldn't cause problems and... I touch the collar around my neck. This must be to nullify my magic like Riddle's collar... Hmph. Hilarious.

3rd person's pov

Ortho hurried back to the control room with a thoughtful expression but dropped it once he saw Idia "I'm back, Idia. How's testing going for Subject F?"

"Just finished running him through the battle sims. Hmm... He is seriously mediocre in every single way. The preliminary report of him being a dire beast with high blot density checks out, though. What we've figured out so far is that he's a magical fusion of a dire beast and some kind of animal... He's got a capacity for thought that's on par with humans... He's as lackluster with magic as he looks... and his blot accumulation COULD be phenomenally high."

Ortho tilted his head "'Could be'? You're usually much more certain about these things. What makes you say that?"

"Grim's numbers go haywire every time I try to get a precise blot accumulation reading. One moment they spike into the red zone... Like a subject that's gone full Phantom. Then the next moment, they bottom out and go infinitely close to zero. All attempts at blot treatments have had no effect whatsoever. And look at this" Idia presses a button and the screen shows Grim sleeping in a locked room.
