In Y/n's residence

Y/n was banging his head against a wall. Grim, who it had woken up, looked at him half weirded out and half concerned "What's up with you?"

"Don't worry about that." Y/n scratched the back of his ear.

"Stop it..." He tried to complain but couldn't stop purring under his affection.

Y/n smiled softly and plopped down on the bed which made Grim bounce and land on his lap. He stretched and snuggled into its lap, feeling safe and comfy "I missed this..." He mumbled.

"... I missed you." 'I'm sure Grim would have liked Krystal...' "Say, Grim?"

"Hm?"

"Who's your favorite person?"

"Huh?" Grim looked up at him curiously "You trynna feed your ego?"

"Does that mean it's me?~" Y/n took on a more teasing tone.

Grim grumbled "Do you even have to ask?"

"Stop answering my questions with other questions. Say it." Y/n poked him.

He pouted "Fine... You are my favorite person..."

Y/n stayed silent for a moment which surprised Grim; it normally would have teased him even more for admitting that. 

"Then..." Y/n finally spoke "Would you follow me anywhere?"

"Don't I already do that?"

Y/n let out a curt chuckle and patted his head. He closed his eyes, enjoying it and after some time, he started getting sleepy again "I think you would like living with me. You'd get anything you want and I'd always be there for you."

"Yeah..." Grim mumbled, his consciousness slipping away.

"... I'm going to return to my world soon enough and then... I'll never come back here. When this happens... should I take you with me?"

He didn't answer to that so Y/n knew he was asleep. It gently put him back down on the bed and got up, exiting the dorm.

And almost immediately, he noticed green glitters and Malleus appeared there. It smiled, putting a hand on his hip "It feels nice knowing you're not here for any gargoyle but just for me."

"..." Malleus slowly smiled back "You are a lot more fascinating than any I have encountered yet."

"Aw~" It wrapped his arms around his arm "You're so sweet. I love you...r compliments." 'What's wrong with me making common mistakes recently?'

"Y/n, I-"

"I hope we stay friends forever." Y/n smiled up at him 'I gotta keep a safe enough distance with him...'

"... Yes... friends... I hope so as well..." He looked up at the moon.

"Shall we go now? It's been a while since we've taken our regular night walks." Y/n started walking and he followed since their arms were linked together.

Y/n hummed a song while they were walking and after a while, Malleus asked "What song is this? You often hum it when we are alone together."

"Oh, its Once upon a dream. You could say that I associate this song with you."

"Could you... sing it for me?" He asked softly.

Y/n beamed "With pleasure!"

"... That seems like a pretty romantic song for you to associate it with me."
