[NAME] WOKE UP TO THE EARLY MORNING SUNLIGHT STREAMING THROUGH THEIR WINDOW, chasing away the last remnants of sleep. They sat up, rubbing their eyes and stretching their limbs, feeling the previous day's events come back to them.
Looking around, they remembered that today was another day of summer school. With a heavy heart, they got out of bed and began getting ready for another day of studies.
[Name] took a deep breath, trying to psyche themselves up for the day ahead. It wasn't that they didn't understand the importance of studying, it was just that they found it incredibly boring and tedious. Nevertheless, they resigned themselves to the fate of having to study and began to tackle their coursework in small, manageable chunks.
[Name] closed their book with a sigh, the monotony of study finally getting to them. They let out a heavy sigh and let their body slump back against their bed, feeling the tiredness weighing heavily on them.
"I can't believe I have to keep doing this," they thought to themselves, staring up at the ceiling. "I just want this summer school thing to be over already so I can get back to doing something enjoyable with scara"
[Name] had just closed their book, feeling exhausted and frustrated, when they heard a faint tapping sound coming from their window. They sat up, confused, and listened intently. The tapping sound came again, growing louder this time.
The realization dawned on them suddenly. "Wait a minute... is that pebbles on my window?" they thought, a jolt of anticipation coursing through them. No one except for Scaramouche ever threw pebbles at their window.
[Name] rushed over to the window, their heart fluttering in their chest. They flung the window open, their face breaking into a soft smile as they saw the familiar figure standing there in the shadows.
"Scaramouche," they breathed, a mix of relief and excitement flooding through them. "You're here."
Scaramouche moved quickly and silently, climbing up the street light with practiced ease until he was almost eye-level with [Name] who was still standing by the window. His face was tinged with mischief.
"Hey there," he greeted, a teasing smile on his face. "Looks like you weren't expecting me were ya?"
[Name] stood there for a moment, their eyes locked with Scaramouche's. A myriad of emotions passed over their face - shock, surprise, joy. They tried to find their voice, opening their mouth but no words came out.
Finally, they managed a shaky smile. "You're here," they repeated again, this time their voice cracking with the sheer intensity of their emotions.
Scaramouche chuckled as he noticed [Name]'s stunned expression. "Aw, look at you, caught totally off guard. Can't say I blame you, I am pretty amazing."
He stepped closer, the playful tone in his voice softening slightly. "Come on, let's catch up. We've got a lot to talk about."
[Name] and Scaramouche settled down on the bed, sitting side by side and enjoying each other's company. They talked and laughed for hours, catching up on everything they had missed during their time apart.
The hours flew by in the blink of an eye, and before they knew it, the sky outside had begun to show signs of approaching dawn.
[Name] had dozed off mid-sentence, their head resting against the pillows. Scaramouche chuckled softly, a fond smile playing on his lips as he watched them sleep.
He quietly moved the blankets up and over their body, gently tucking them in. He paused for a moment, looking down at them as they slept peacefully. Then, silently and swiftly, he moved towards the window and climbed out.
[Name] and Scaramouche's time together had been just like old times, filled with laughter, stories, and banter. It was as if no time had passed at all, and the two of them had picked up right where they left off.
As Scaramouche snuck away into the night, [Name] laid back in their bed, a soft smile on their face. The day had been a relief from the monotony of summer school, and for a few hours, life felt good again.
