Wonyoung's P.O.V I sighed in annoyance as Sunghoon opened the soda bottle I had previously been trying to open. It's not that I had anything against him, it's just I wanted Y/N to be the one to help me. I wasn't even struggling to open the bottle, I just wanted an excuse to talk to her. It's like every time I try talking to her Sunghoon is there or she has to leave for something. "Here." Sunghoon said breaking my train of thoughts. "Thanks." I said forcing a smile. Someone called Sunghoon over so it was just Y/N and I. I took this as an opportunity to talk to her but she beat me to it. "Since we still have time before the broadcast starts, do you wanna practice our lines?" She asked. "Just us?" I asked hopefully. "Uh no no we can ask Sunghoon to join us." She answered. I mentally face palmed at myself, I probably made her think I didn't want it to be just us two.
While we were practicing Sunghoon had to leave so it was just Y/N and I. "Can we take a break, I'm tired." I said. That was a lie, I just wanted to talk about something none work related. "Yeah of course." She answered. "Any plans for the break?" She asked. "I'll just visit my family and then I'll be back in Seoul for the last half of it. You?" I answered. "Same here. But there's actually something that I wanted to invite you to." She said. "Really?" "Yeah its sort of like a getaway for 01 to 04 liners happening at a guest house in Daegu." "Oh so its a group thing." "Yeah is that an issue?" She asked. "No I was just asking." I said. "I just thought it'd be us two." I muttered below my breath. "Huh?" "Nothing." "Ok well we're about to start filming. I'll text you the info later." She said.
~In Daegu~
I stood in the lounge by the reception of the guesthouse. Besides the chef who would only be here during mealtimes it was only idols at the guesthouse. Y/N says its so no scandals break out.
"Is there anyone missing?" Somi asked. "No we're all here." Yuna answered. "Good. I have the keys for all the rooms, the ones on my left are for shared rooms, on my right single rooms. Pick your fate." Somi said. "And come back in an hour for lunch." Ningning said.
I took a single room key and took my suitcase there. I didn't want to unpack since we'd only be here for four days. I decided to take a tour around the place while I waited for lunch instead.
I was coming from the pool area when I saw Bahiyyih. "Hi." I said as we hugged. "It's been so long." She said. "I know it feels like forever." I said. "Right. So fill me in, how are things going with Y/N?" She asked. "Nowhere, it feels like every time I try talking to her she has to leave or someone interrupts us." I complained. "I think she's in the entertainment area with a few other people. Try talking to her now." She said.
We went there and sure enough Y/N was there with Sunghoon, Hwi, Yuna, and Belle. They didn't seem to be doing anything besides talking. "Can we join?" Bahiyyih asked. "Of course." Y/N answered. Bahi sat besides Belle meaning there was no more space on the only sofa in the room. "You can have my spot, I'll get a beanbag." Y/N said. "Thanks." I said as she stood up. Now I was sat next to Yuna. "I'm bored, let's play never have I ever." Hwi suggested. "Getting drunk before lunch." Y/N said. "Its 8pm somewhere." Belle said. Y/N shook her head at this. "I'll go get the drinks." Sunghoon said. "I'll help." Y/N said. "I'll help get the glasses." I said just so I could go with Y/N.
We came back not too long after. The game went pretty smoothly and no one was drunk. Although that probably has more to do with the fact that we got light stuff. "Never have I ever liked someone in this room." Hwi asked. Y/N, Belle, Sunghoon and I each took a shot. I had mixed feelings about Y/N taking the shot. On one hand I was glad because there's a chance it means she likes me but what if its someone else. Before we could spin the bottle to see who's asking the next question my phone's ringing distracted us. It was the timer telling us it was time for lunch. "We better go before the chef leaves." I said.
It was quite late right now. I was on my way to the pool which coincidentally meant I had to pass Y/N's room. "I keep trying to talk to her but something always comes up with me. It doesn't matter anyways, I think she likes Sunghoon." I heard Y/N 's voice say. "How do you know?" The other person asked. "Backstage their always so close. Like if Wonyoung wants something Sunghoon always gets it for her." Y/N said.
I can't believe she thinks I like Sunghoon. On the bright side, overhearing that conversation gave me the confidence to finally confess my feelings for her. I knocked on the door and rocked on my feet while I waited for answer. "Oh hi Wony, what's up?" Y/N asked. "I wanted to talk to you, are you busy?" I asked. Y/N was about to say something but was cut off by Ryujin. "No she isn't, I'm going to sleep bye." She said and rushed out of the room. I didn't miss her winking to Y/N before she left. "I'm assuming you were on your way to the pool. I'll change and meet you there." She said. I nodded and left once she re-entered her room.
Initially it was quiet between us once she joined me. I thought it would be easy to tell her knowing she likes me back but now I'm wondering how I should do it. "So you and Sunghoon." Y/N said breaking the silence. "What about us?" I asked. "You guys seem close. Is something going on between you guys." She asked. "No, I like someone else." I answered. "You do?" "Yeah, she's about your height, really funny and cute and she's my co Mc for Music Bank. I keep trying to flirt with her but she thinks I like Sunghoon." I said. Y/N's face as she seemingly processed the information was so cute. "Wait you like me!" She exclaimed. "Yes silly, I thought I was making it obvious." I said giggling at her cute reaction. "I guess I'm too oblivious but I'm glad you like me back then." She said. "So what does this make us?" I asked. "Hopefully this means you'll be my girlfriend." She said. "At least take me on a date first." I joked. "Ok how does tomorrow at lunch sound?" She said. "Hmm let me think." I said. Y/N gave me an are you serious look. "I'm joking it sounds perfect." I said.
"The outfit was not that bad." I said defensively. "It was, you looked like a grandma." She said laughing. "You're so mean." I said shoving her. Unfortunately for her, Y/N ended up falling in the pool. I tried getting up already knowing what would happen once she resurfaced but it was too late. Y/N pulled me into the pool making me shriek. "Not so funny when its you is it?" She mocked. I didn't say anything choosing to splash her instead which started a splash fight. I swam away when she started winning. She caught up to me pretty quickly holding my waist to stop me from getting away. Suddenly the air was thick with tension as she moved dangerously close to my face. Our lips just barely touched when I pulled away. "Not until we're official." I said. "You kill me." She joked. "That's what you get for splashing me." I said. "You started it." She retorted. "Oh well." I shrugged.
We spent a few more hours at the pool before leaving. Y/N being the gentlewoman that she is walked me to my room. "Goodnight Wony." She said as we stood at the threshhold of my room. "Goodnight Y/N, sleep well." I said. I gave her a kiss on the cheek before I entered my room. The grin on her face afterwards melted my heart. Gosh I was really looking forward to that date.
