Soulmate AU
Minji's P.O.V
I stared at the F/C mark on wrist in annoyance. The baseball cap and bat that were constant reminders of how behind I seemed to be compared to everyone else. I swear it feels like everyone has found their soulmate but me. Even Hyein and she's the youngest in the group.
The marks were meant to be hints about our soulmates but this didn't seem like a very good hint. I mean how many people like baseball and the F/C, probably a lot. I've tried going to as many baseball games as I could. I went to all my high school games, I go watch college games, I go to professional games but nothing. Its like the universe just wanted to keep me waiting. It sucks, like a piece of me is missing but no matter how hard I try I can't find it. What makes it worse is seeing everyone with theirs. I walk into the Hybe building and everyone is either with their soulmate or on the phone with them. I'm probably not the only one who hasn't found their soulmate but it definitely feels like it.
I was drawn out of my thoughts by our manager telling us it was time to start filming. "Oh Minji before I forget." She called out. "Yes?" I questioned as I turned to her. "You're going to be making the first throw at a baseball game next week Saturday." She answered. "Oh ok." I responded. Another reason to get my hopes up. But maybe this time will be different, hopefully.
~Time skip~
Saturday came all too soon. While I was waiting for my cue to go make the first throw I noticed a girl at the front wearing the Kia Tigers team jersey. For a moment I just watched her, she wasn't doing anything interesting but for some reason I just felt drawn to her. Before I could make a move to talk to her though it was time to for the game to start.
The rest of the game went by in a blur. I barely focused on it, instead my eyes were trained on the girl from earlier. As the game ended I noticed she lingered behind. That was my chance to talk to her. "Guys I'll be right back." I said to the others. I noticed Danielle was about to say something but I didn't give her time to speak, already rushing toward the girl.
"Hi." I said as I got to her. You know in cartoons when the character smiles and its so bright it shines? That's what it felt like when she smiled at me. "I'm Minji." I said, holding my hand out for her to shake. Did I really just make her shake my hand? Gosh why am I being so awkward? But I tried to seem as confident as I could on the outside. The way she looked at me as we shook hands was weird, but a good kind of weird. Her gaze was sharp and intense and it sent a wave of excited tingles through me. "That's a cute name. I'm Y/N." My face flushed as I heard her compliment. Just then I felt a burning sensation on my wrist. I looked down and saw that the mark was now half F/C and red with my initials binding it together. Oh my gosh I found her. I found my soulmate. "Guess we finally found each other huh?" She said with a small smirk on her face.
Ending this on a cliffhanger cause I don't know how to end this.
