I sat in the dance practice room as I watched Lia go through the choreo for probably the twentieth time tonight. "Lia baby take a break, you need to rest." I said as she walked over to the phone. "Don't overwork yourself before midzys get to see you again." I said and took the phone away. "Yeah you're right I should rest. I just want to do well for this comeback since its bern so long." She said. "And you will like you always do. But you can't give your all if its depleted." I said. "You're so wise sometimes." She said. "I'm always wise." I said as I took our stuff so we could go to our apartment. "Debatable." "Hey!"
It was finally the day of the first comeback stage, unfortunately I couldn't make it because of my stupid professor. He was making me do my presentation earlier than I was supposed to and I couldn't skip it since its worth 50% of my grade. "I'm sorry. I really wish I could make it." I told Lia over the phone. "Its fine I get it. Anyway I know you're gonna do great." She said. Though she was trying to seem cheery I could still hear the disappointment tinged in her voice. "I'll be at the next one ok?" I said trying to cheer her up. "You better be." She jokingly warned. I smiled as I noticed her cheeriness return. "I will. For now though I've gotta go. I'll see once my classes are done." "Bye."
I sighed in annoyance as I looked at the time. Thirty minutes since class started and Mr. Kim still wasn't here. Can't believe he's making me miss Itzy's recording just to be this late. A couple of minutes later the TA entered the lecture hall. "Guys Mr. Kim said he won't be able to make it today so you can leave I guess." He said. I immediately checked the time on my phone, seeing that there was still about fifteen minutes till Itzy's performance. I immediately called a cab, going to the M Countdown building. I was so glad I packed my ticket for the music show entry either way.
I made it to the building with time to spare. I was about to go backstage but decided against it, I'd surprise her instead. As the girls got on the stage and started greeting I made sure to scream extra loud when it was Lia's turn. She turned to my direction and I noticed the way her smile widened when she saw me which made me smile as well.
Once the performance ended I made my way backstage. The managers already knew who I was since Lia and I have been together for awhile, we just had to make sure fans don't find out. I barely stepped foot into Itzy's dressing room before Lia ran over to me, enveloping me in a tight hug. "I thought you weren't coming. What happened to your presentation?" She asked as she pulled back. "Mr. Kim didn't show for some reason." "Oh well at least you get more time. And you're here." She said excitedly. No matter how many times I watch her recordings she always got excited like it was my first time and it warmed my heart. "Yes I am, and I've got time to spare till my next class." I said and put an arm around her waist, pulling her closer to me. "Ok lovebirds keep it pg." Ryujin said. "You're just jealous cause you're single." I said and laid my head on Lia's shoulder. Ryujin rolled her eyes playfully and went back to her conversation with Chaeryeong.
Like I promised I was at all of Lia's recordings. Its been a busy schedule and a bit over whelming for her because of how long its been since she's been on stage but she did it and even got better than before. "I'm so tired." She groaned as she settled into the passenger seat of my car. "Not too tired I hope, I've got something planned for tonight." I said. I chuckled when I saw her immediately perk up and turn to me. "You do? What?" She asked. "You'll see." I said with a playful smile on my face. "Ugh fine be that way." She said and crossed her arms. I just shook my head and continued driving.
We made it to the apartment and I immediately led her to the kitchen. On the counter sat a vase with a bouquet of her favourite flowers and a medium sized gift box. "Open it." I said, handing her the box. She opened it to reveal a teddy bear holding a crescent necklace and earrings with a note that said "I'm so proud of you." She set the box down and turned to me. "Oh Y/N you didn't have to." She said and hugged me. "I know but I wanted to. You've worked so hard for this comeback and this is just my little way of saying how proud I am of you for dealing with everything." I said. "Thank you. You're the best you know that?" She said a gave me a peck on the lips. "You know I might need an extra reminder." I said with a cheeky grin. She rolled her eyes playfully but still leaned in. I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her closer. I sighed in bliss as I felt her hands tangle in my hair. I sighed in bliss as I felt her hands tangle in my hair. Getting lost in the moment I almost forgot about everything I planned.
We both pulled apart, panting lightly. "I love you so much." I said and placed a kiss on her forehead. "I love you more." "Mmm debatable. But lets not argue, dinner's waiting for us." I said and lead her to the dining table. "You made dinner too. You really are the best." She said. "I know." I said. "Don't get cocky." She said and playfully shoved. "Ok ok, my bad." I chuckled. As dinner went home I couldn't help but admire Lia's energy despite the grilling schedule she's had over the past schedule she's had over the past few weeks. I was definitely looking forward to doing more things like this for her and sharing moments like this.
Studying and exams are kicking my butt right now. Came online just to post this.
