Chapter 31 : Hello Love

We all walked home, while Caroline, who I previously broke the neck, went back to Mystic Falls, to her daughters, since the Hayley crisis was over. We knew having Hope, Niklaus and I together was a bad idea but right now we were putting ourselves back together, after almost losing Hayley.

As we entered the Mikaelson compound I had a feeling of nostalgia coming back. But mostly importantly, a feeling of home.

The noise of our steps made Freya and Elijah run downstairs, amplifying my migraine slightly. Elijah ran to Hayley, while Hope ran to Freya.

" Not happy to see me and Niklaus I see, I joked looking at my sire.

- Right ? We get no hugs, he replied faking to be offended, smiling a bit glad that I was back to my old self.

- Y/n ? Freya and Elijah said at the same time clearly confused.

- Hey... I'm back to my old and annoying self, I let a small smile clearly nervous.

- Good to see you back, Elijah nodded simply.

- You too... Uhm...Freya ?... I said worried that she hadn't say anything"

Freya looked at me with a mix of emotions on her face. She slapped me across the face before hugging me. I blinked a few times, surprised by the switch off events but quickly hugged her back. After a long minute she let go.

" You idiot ! You left like that, and you got me a letter ?! She said emotional.

- I....

- No. You are an absolute idiot. Such an idiot I can even word how much of an idiot you are Y/n.

- But I.... I tried to say.

- You're lucky I missed you because I would have slapped you again.

- Can I just say that.... I tried again.

- No, I'm not over, she said, grabbing my hand."

I sent a "please save me" look to Hayley that just shrugged with a small smirk while Hope laughed, before getting lightly nudged by her mother. Freya dragged me by the wrist to her bedroom and locked the door, clearly wanting to yell at me in private. I looked around seeing nothing had really changed except a picture of us that wasn't here before.

" How could you do that ! She started yelling.

- I was protecting you, I said softly.

- I can protect myself, she scoffed. I'm a Mikealson Witch and the firstborn !

- I know that ! But I would have never forgiven myself if I had hurt you, Freya ! I yelled, my voice breaking from the emotions. I could and I can feel it wanting me to wreak havoc, to harm you. And I couldn't live with myself if I had even tried to do so. Because I would do anything for you. I'd kneel, I'd kill, I'd let this whole world burn for you...

- Y/n.... She said softly. You could have told me your plan.

- We both know you're too stubborn, you wouldn't have left me Darling.

- You're right... she sighed.

- It might be indiscreet after seven years but... Is there anyone special in your life ? I ask hoping the answer would be no.

- I could never stop loving you, she smiled sadly.

- No need to be sad.

- Isn't it ? You have a girlfriend, a fiance I heard, she added bitterly.

- She's dead. She tried to kill Hayley, and something inside me just snapped, and I knew I had to do something...

- Oh... Y/n, I'm so sorry...
