TRIGGER WARNING: Graphic description of Gore, Violence
☘☘☘
"Fuck..." I clutched my shoulder tight to get it numb. Another bullet in my body. I'm not used to this anymore.
I'm already getting old. I need to settle down now.
"Ah..."
I turned my gaze to Everest who's on the ground, hugging his stomach like a fetus. His blood is spilling on the grass, watering the ground. He's still alive, hissing silently.
Watching him struggle, squirming like a worm on the ground, I felt a bit of satisfaction. But it's still not enough. It will never be enough.
I want him writhing in pain every second, every minute of his day. I want him crying like a baby, calling out to be saved with death. I want him to burn. I want him to ask for forgiveness.
Even through the pain on my shoulder, I lifted my right hand and aimed my gun at him.
I wouldn't have done this in any other situation. He's my nephew after all. I've seen him grow into a kid before I left home. I developed a sense of fondness for him to some extent. He was my first nephew. And the last time I saw him before I left was when he was just a kid.
He wasn't the most well-behaved boy but he's a kid. How did that kid that I remember crying to my brother because he lost his tooth ended up like this?
"Ah..." Everest continued to cry silently.
What a pity. He turned out like this.
But I knew he's bound to be like this. With how much pressure our family has given him. And I know that pressure really well.
He must be in pain. But that doesn't excuse what he did. Especially to Sonya. My Sonya.
I let my index finger wander to the trigger of the gun. Maybe I should cut his tongue, too, for everything that he said. Well, let me just decide after he's dead. Hindi naman na siya makakawala.
