"They'll be here in four days," Alice warned everyone I saw Carlisle pacing around, worried look on everyone's faces... this was after the party Jacob and two of his friends stayed around, and now we're doing a huddle with everyone
"This could turn into a blood bath," Carlisle said
"Who's behind it?" Edward asked which made Alice shake her head
"I didn't see anyone I recognized, maybe one" Edward was reading Alice's mind
"I know his face, he's local. Riley Biers" Edward said
"What? you mean the missing kid?" I ask which he nodded
"But he didn't start this" he added
"Whoever did is staying out of the action," Alice says
"They must be playing a blind spot in your vision," Carlisle said as he was deep in thought
"Either way the armies are coming, and there aren't enough of us to protect the town," Jasper said
"Hold up what damn army?" Jacob asks irritation in his voice
"Newborns, our kind," Carlisle said looking at the three wolves
"What are they after?" embry asked
"They were passing around Bella's scent, a red blouse" Alice confirmed
"Wait what?" Jacob asked again
"Then we're in," Jacob said firmly
"No, no way you'll get your selves killed" Bella shook her head
I sat beside Carlisle as I put my hand on his shoulder
"I'm not asking for permission" Jacob looked at bella... Bella looked at edward which he looked back at her
"It just mean more protection for you"
"He's right Bells" I said looking at my sister
"Jacob, do you believe Sam would agree to an understanding?" Carlisle ask Jacob "As long as we get to kill some vampires" Jacob replied back
"Jasper?" Carlisle looks at his foster son
"They'll give us the numbers, Newborns won't know they even exist, they'll give us an advantage" Jasper confirms
"Okay then we'll give them some training, Fighting newborns requires knowledge Jasper has." Carlisle said standing up
"You're welcome to join us" he looked back to Jacob "Okay name the time and place," Jacob said. and with that we all talked for a few more minutes and the wolves had to leave to tell their packs
"That went well" I sigh
"Are you going home today krystal?" Bella asked as she turned to me, I shook my head
"I'll stay here just tell Dad for the next few days we'll be busy with stuff" I said she nodded as Edward took her home
Once everyone had left, including Krystal's sister, Carlisle turned to her, his expression softening.
He listened to your response, a small smile playing at the corner of his lips. "You're staying here...with me?"
"Well we might not finish what we're doing earlier since this happens.... i just wanna stay with you" I sigh again as I lean my head on his chest
Carlisle chuckled softly, his arms wrapping around you as you leaned against him.
"We'll finish what we started soon enough," he reassured her, his thumbs tracing soothing circles on her back. He held her closely, relishing the feeling of her body against his.
For a moment, Carlisle simply enjoyed the peaceful quiet, feeling her heart beat next to his. He knew they had a lot to prepare for in the coming days, but for now, just holding her like this was enough.
