We opened our home to 18 vampires with unique gifts of their own Zafrina had power over the mind she could make anyone see what she wanted them to. just like my daughter but my daughter was more physical than mental, I was walking towards Bella, Edward and the Amazon sisters, I saw Edward was like looking to another world saying to bella that if she wasn't holding his hand he would've thought whatever he's seeing is real
then not a moment later I saw a guy walk behind me toward them again
"Edward you didn't tell me your wife is a shield," The vampire guy said bella looked at Edward asking "What's a shield?"
"The ones I've met are so different," he said "It's a defensive talent," the vampire guy said "It's why I couldn't read your mind even before" he explained
"Is her sister like that too?" Zafrina asked looking at me Edward looked at me too trying to read me "Maybe I couldn't read her also" he said which made bella and I look at each other
"If that's the case you guys have a very powerful gift" Then out of nowhere a woman touches bella hand with electrical powers and smirks
"Oh yeah she's a shield alright" Then she tried doing it to me but when she touched my hand doing the same thing it backfired on her
"Ahhg!! what the hell?!" she said which made all the vampire's eyes widen I saw Carlisle walking with a blonde woman from the Denali clan toward us
"This is my first time feeling my powers it hurts like hell," the woman said shaking her hands while everyone laughs
"I think she's not a shield"
"What is she?" the woman asks I just look at them as they try and find out what am i
"If no one can read her mind and your powers backfired that just means one thing" We look at the Amazon woman
"She's a Deflector" "A powerful one at that" My eyes lit up as they talked about me I felt Carlisle walk beside me I looked up at him
"So like I can deflect people's powers? like back at them? Or another question can I deflect it towards someone else?" I ask
"As a Deflector, you have the ability to deflect or redirect other people's powers. This means you can either send them back at the original user or redirect them towards someone else," he explained, his voice calm and composed. [like I said]
"wow cool" I whispered to myself as I started thinking of things I could do
"So Edward if you try and read my mind now does that mean you'll read your own mind?" I muse
Edward chuckled at her question, a mix of amusement and curiosity in his eyes.
"Well, I suppose that's one way to look at it. If I try to read your mind right now, it would essentially mean I'm reading my own thoughts, since you would deflect it back to me."
"Well anyway your Voltage has been exaggerated," Thandruill says popping out of nowhere and we all look at him
"Maybe it only works on the weak," the woman said putting her hand up for Thandruil to take
"Oh, I wouldn't do that if I were you," he warned, casting a glance in Thandruil's direction.
"Thandruil has a knack for underestimating his opponents."
"I can see that" I whispered back letting out a small laugh But Thandruill/Garret didn't listen he put his one finger toward the woman's powers and when it sparked he let out a low groan from the pain making him kneel making everyone laugh but he composes himself still kneeling on the ground she looks up at the woman and smiles playfully
