Ch24. Vampire Questions

(Not my Favorite Chapter..i dont know.. what do you guys think?)

The park was a picturesque place. Its lush greenery, dotted with blooming flowers, contrasted the cool breeze in the air. Carlisle and Krystal sat on a bench beneath a grand old oak tree, leaves fluttering gently overhead. The sound of children's laughter echoed through the park, as other couples strolled lazily or sat on blankets on the grass.

Carlisle glanced over at Krystal, the corner of his mouth curving into a smile.

"This place holds a lot of memories," he murmured, breaking the silence. "But I prefer the ones we're making now."

"mhmm," i said agreeing with him as I rested my head on his chest"You know I always wonder.... what would your heartbeat sound like... i bet it would be a perfect melody playing in my head every time...." I watched as the scene unfold Ducks swimming around as children fed them...

Carlisle chuckled softly at her musings, his arm wrapping around her, holding her close against his chest. Her words struck a note in his heart, making him feel more alive than ever.

"Your curiosity knows no bounds, does it?" he teased gently, his gaze following her gaze to the ducks.

"My heartbeat, huh?"

He paused for a moment, pretending to give it some thought while his gaze lingered on her face, admiring its beauty from this angle.

"I suppose it would be a soothing and steady rhythm," he began, his voice a soft murmur against her hair. "Like the ticking of a clock, constant and reliable."

He chuckled softly at the comparison, his thumb rubbing gentle circles on her shoulder.

"But perhaps it would be more than that... perhaps it would be a song, composed just for you. A melody that echoes only for your ears, that beats only for your touch."

"I'd like that" Smiling sweetly i look up at him"I told Dad that someone will be coming to our house and court me... I didn't tell him who you are yet I just told him that he knows you... I want him to know already that I have someone too like Bella... I know you said before graduation.. but I just gave him a heads-up, I love my dad I don't want to give him a heart attack as he knows I'm dating my Sister's boyfriend's Dad" I chuckled

As Carlisle listened to her explanation, a mixture of surprise and pride swelled within him. He understood her wanting her father to know about their relationship, and he appreciated the way she approached it with care for her father's feelings.

"I can understand why you did that," he said gently, his hand coming up to brush a stray strand of hair away from her face. "Your father deserves to know."

He paused for a moment, a hint of a smirk playing at the corners of his mouth.

"Though, I can't deny, a part of me is curious to see his reaction.

"Hmm i don't know probably he'll shoot you" I joked

A low chuckle rumbled in Carlisle's chest at her jesting remark.

"A bullet wouldn't do much to me, darling," he teased back, his eyes glinting with amusement.

He pulled her closer to him, his fingers trailing lazily up and down her arm.

"But I hope your father wouldn't resort to that. How do you think he'll react when he realizes who I am to you?"

"Well i don't know really but we'll find out next month... so right now" I paused as I sat up properly leaning in as our faces inches to one another smiling cheekily "let's just enjoy 'us' for now and have the chaos later"
