I walk over to him my footsteps light but my chest heavy.. i want to put my hand on him but I'm scared he might flinch or move away so I decided not to...As I approached Carlisle, my footsteps were light but my heart was heavy. i fought the urge to reach out and touch him, fearing that he might pull away. Instead, I spoke softly, a gentle "Hi" escaping my lips.
Carlisle's expression remained stoic, his features betraying no emotion. But I could see the slight tensing of his shoulders as he turned to face me. His voice was cold and controlled when he spoke. "Hello, love."
"Uhm" i said my mind isnt working when i need it the most... i don't know what to say he's my husband so sure he has the right to feel that way I mean if it's in reverse I'll feel a lot more emotion than what he's showing right now... i sigh
"Are you mad at me?"
Carlisle's eyes darkened as her words hung in the air. she could see a flicker of something intense in his gaze, but he maintained his composure.
He exhaled deeply, trying to keep his voice level and calm. But there was a hint of a growl in his tone. "Mad? No, I'm not mad. I'm beyond mad, my love. I saw the way you looked at him." His jaw tense, his eyes burning with restrained jealousy and possessiveness.
"I'm-sorry i"
HER half ass-finished apologies were cut off as Carlisle stepped closer to her, his eyes boring into hers. His voice was low and intense, a mixture of anger and desire.
"Sorry? You think a simple 'sorry' can erase what I saw? The way you blushed and stuttered in his presence? The way you got lost in your own world when he touched you?"
He reached out, his hand gripping her chin firmly, forcing her to look up at him.
"It's not like-"
Before you could finish your sentence, Carlisle's voice cut through the air, his grip on your chin firm and unyielding.
"Stop. Don't you dare try to defend yourself. You don't seem to understand the effect he had on you."
His eyes flicked over her face, his expression a mixture of anger and desire. His fingers dug into her skin just a little bit more, his touch both possessive and slightly rough.
"Jesus Carlisle can we not fight here?!" I bark back"if you're not gonna let me speak and defend myself lets at least go somewhere private where no one can hear us Lilith's outside for fucks sake" I said
Carlisle's eyes widened almost imperceptibly as I snapped back at him. The tension between us was so thick, I could almost taste it. He knew I was right, and he didn't like having to hold back in front of others.
With a low growl, he released my chin, his hand dropping to my wrist. "Fine. We'll talk somewhere private. But know this - this conversation is far from over."
Carlisle walked ahead, his strides large and purposeful. He was angry, and it showed in the set of his shoulders and the tension in his muscles. This was uncharted territory for both of them - Carlisle had never been this angry before.she followed close behind him, her heart pounding in her chest. The silence between them was deafening, the only sound coming from the rustling leaves under their feet. As they arrived at their private retreat, the tension between them could cut through the air.
"Can i defend myself now?" i asked not trying to sound sarcastic i don't want to anger him more
Carlisle huffed out a deep breath, his eyes meeting mine. His anger was still evident, but there was a hint of tiredness in his voice.
