Wednesday Spring 24: The Flower Dance.
Emily knocks on my door and I go to open it. I already have my makeup done and I curled my hair. "Good morning!" She says with a big smile. "Good morning." I say back to her as she walks in with a dress and sewing supplies. "So I want you to try this on and then I can make little adjustments as we go, nothing too much." She explains and I nod. She hands me the dress and then spots Shiloh who is staring her down.
"Hi cutie. What is your name?" She bends down to pet his head. "Say my name is Shiloh and my favorite person is not my owner." I joke and Emily smiles. "Sebastian?" She asked and I nod. "How'd you know?" I ask and she shrugs. "Animals like him. I can feel it." She says. I nod and turn around to go put on my dress.
Emily just tends to know things about people, even if she has barely talked to them. She is very spiritual in a way. She is so nice and pure and kind, you wouldn't believe her and Haley are sisters.
The dress what white, lace around the neckline and around the hem of the sleeves and bottom of the dress. "I think it fits nice." I say and Emily smiles as she looks at me. "You look so pretty." She says. "I can take in the waist just a little." She says coming over to me. She walks over to me and begins to sew.
"You like it here so far?" She asked and I nod. "Everyone is nice. Jodi took me in like one of her own and Sam makes a good big brother. Vincent is always so excited to see me. Abigail is always trying to show me some witchy stuff she has been discovering. Sebastian is really nice. We joke around a lot and talk a lot more than we used to." I explain to her and she smiles up at me. "Sebastian is really nice." She mocks me and I laugh.
"Even I felt your face heating up when you started talking about him." I roll my eyes and shake my head. "It's not like that. I just think he is cute." I shrug. "Does he know that?" She says and I nod. "Yeah." I shrug. "He didn't call me pretty or say I was cute, but he did say I looked nice." I say and she giggles shimming her shoulders a little bit.
"Does our new farmer have a crush on someone?" Emily says and I roll my eyes with a laugh. "Definitely not. It's been a few days I have been here and I'm still getting to know everyone." "Eva, you can still like someone and know nothing about them. You can't help who you have feelings for." I shrug. "I will know when I know." I say and she drops her hands from sewing. "How does that feel?" She asked and I nod. "Pretty good."
"Great. I have to get to the dance early and help Gus set up the food but I will see you there." Emily says. "See you." I go to walk her out. I open the door and Sam stands at the door in his blue suit. "Hey Emily." "Hi Sam! Bye Sam!" She says, walking away. "Hey Eve! You look so good!" I smile and give him a little spin of my dress. "Emily was just doing some last minute work on it." I say and he nods, walking in.
"I'm excited for this dance. I was kind of tired of dancing with Penny. All she ever did was complain." Sam scratches the back of his neck. "Well, I guess you are glad I came along." I say with a smile, little does he know.
"I was wondering if you wanted to come to Sebastian's with me before the dance. My mom's new tv is ready and she wants me to go ahead and pay for it so she doesn't forget." Sam asked and I shrug. "Sure, let me get my shoes on. Will you feed Shiloh and give him some water please?" I say and he nods.
I go to my room and put on a pair of those frilly socks and my Mary Janes. I walk back out to see Sam looking through the cabinets. "Uh," is all I can say before he turns around. "Where?" He asked and I laugh. "Under the sink. I probably should have said that." He smiles.
