The rest of the Cullen family returns home happy they won, but sad for the lost life of the newborn that they were going to take in. She didn't fight but she was killed by the Volturi guard anyway. Victoria never showed up so they don't know where she is either, which does not settle well with any of the coven, especially Edward and Jasper. Victoria wants revenge on Edward and Jasper is worried about his pregnant wife with Victoria still around.
When they walked in the saw the burnt dead bodies of Victoria and Bella. Jasper immediately stiffened. "Chris?" He called out. Hayley immediately sped downstairs.
"Come on. You guys have to come meet the new member of the family." She says excitedly as she grabs Jasper's arm to pull him towards his room
"What? Chris had the baby?" He asks and the rest of the coven look at Hayley curiously.
Hayley nods. "Yeah. After she killed Victoria and Bella. She went into labor. The baby was born a little over an hour ago."
Jasper then rushed to his bedroom where Christina and their child was. The rest of the family followed.
Jasper walked through the door and saw his mate holding a baby swaddled in a gray blanket. His family stood behind him, not moving much farther than the door, and smiled at Christina and the newest member of the Cullen family.
Christina looked up and smiled at her mate. "Come meet your daughter, Jasper."
"Daughter?" Jasper asked as he slowly walked towards his wife and daughter.
"Mm-hmm." Christina hummed with a nod. "Come here." She encouraged and Jasper sat next to her on the bed, much like Hayley did before and looked down at his sleeping daughter in awe. "Hold her." Christina said trying to pass their daughter to him.
"I couldn't. What if I hurt her?" Jasper says nervously
"You won't." Christina reassures and she puts their daughter into Jasper arms.
Jasper smiles down at his daughter as venom wells up in his eyes, tears that will never fall. "She's beautiful." He says
"She is." Christina agrees and she leans her head on Jasper's shoulders as they both look at their daughter.
"How did this happen?" Carlisle asks after a few moments.
Christina looked up at him. "Hayley helped me deliver her. I went into labor after we dealt with Victoria and Bella."
Hayley then elaborated for the group "After YOU dealt with Victoria and Bella. C sensed danger and we weren't able to leave before Victoria and Bella showed up. She easily killed Victoria but Bella almost killed me so she used multiple abilities at once to get me away from Bella and kill her. When they were dead she put the fire out so the house wouldn't burn down and then went into labor." Edward brought Hayley into his arms when she said that Bella almost killed her. They all nod at the information given.
Carlisle sees his doctor bag and grabs it while walking up to the new parents. "I would like to examine her, especially since she was born early." He says and the parents look up at him and nod. Carlisle looks at the rest of the family by the door. "Please go clean up the dead bodied downstairs, you can all meet the new member of our family after when Jasper and Christina bring her down." The coven nods and goes downstairs, leaving Jasper, Christina, Carlisle, and the baby alone in Jasper's and Christina's room.

Carlisle examined the baby and gave her a clean bill of health. He then gathered the mess left behind from when Christina gave birth and went downstairs to give the new parents some time alone with their child.
Jasper and Christina observe their daughter and use their mind-link to talk about what to name her. After they come up with a name, the two walk downstairs with the baby.
Christina is carrying their daughter and Jasper is next to her with an arm around her waist. The rest of the family look up at the couple with their new baby and smile.
Rosalie and Clayton both speed over to look at their niece up close.
"She is beautiful." Rosalie says looking at the baby
"You did a great job, sis." Clayton adds
"Thanks," Christina says with a smile. The rest of the family approaches to look at the baby.
"So what's her name?" Emmett asks
Jasper and Christina look at each other and Christina nods. Jasper looks at his family, "Everyone, We'd like you to meet Poppy Amberlyn Whitlock Hale." he says with a smile.
